I actually have no problem with the current weather. We need the moisture. All of the snow that fell (not very much) has melted and gone straight into the sewers and not soaked into the ground. The ground is still frozen.

Woo to the weather.  In the 60's...way above normal for this northland area.  Cats were happier than catnip.  Went outside (with supervision) and enjoyed the day.  Even warm enough to crack a window and the boy spent even more time looking out over the back yard.  Been since October to be able to get some "window time".

Warm tomorrow too with rain and maybe a thunderstorm.  Of course, later in the week there may be some snow flurries.  Ahhhhhhhhh.  Minnesota, land of 10,000 seasons. :roll:

Was up at 3am because we lost power, so some backup battery alarm started beeping downstairs.     Looked outside while I was down there.   All looked fine.    When I went out to my car at 6am, there was 1/2" of snow.   :'(     The drive was terrible (an hour instead of 35 minutes) and it is supposed to snow all day.    I thought Spring was here to stay.   :(

However that being said Tuesday is going to be "Hell Day" for snow, NW New Jersey is expecting a major snowstorm starting around 3AM and dumping anywhere between 18" and 24" before it's through (I should see it first, then MissB will get hit with it). This should make for some interesting days ahead.

I saw the East Coast was going to get it.   I should not be complaining.   

If it gets too bad though, I'm heading to Lois's for the next couple of weeks.

They just upgraded the Winter Storm Watch to a Winter Storm Warning, with 18" of snow and wind gusts as high as 50 mph predicted, beginning in the early hours tomorrow morning and lasting throughout the day.

I bought beer yesterday afternoon, so I have all the supplies I need.

Same here, up to 24" and 40mph winds. They say it may fall at rate of 3 to 5 inches an hour at times.

Looks like I'll be sitting by fire toasting my "marshmallows"!! LOL

Alas, the latest Storm of the Century didn't materialize, neither the snowfall nor the strong winds.

Thus far we've received only about 4" and it's currently raining. I went for a walk this morning (work was closed), and it's a sloppy mess, and not, sadly, a winter wonderland.

Officially right now in Hackettstown we have 18" of snow and it's still falling.
The snow isn't expected to stop until very late tonight. However the winds they predicted this afternoon have died down to almost nothing, so we shall see what tomorrow brings as far as more wind / rain / snow.

We had 22" as of 2pm and it is still coming down.Roads are impassable, I-84 was closed. Like Liz said, the wind has died down but we have some really deep snow drifts. And I heard maybe more Friday night.
