One of my kitties is dying.  I think she drank anti-freeze because all the symptoms are that of kidney failure.

Her name is Priscilla.  She came to us as a feral from the humane society.  They were going to have to put her down as unadoptable, but were looking for a farm or similar situation for her.  I told them that I managed a feral cat colony and I could try to integrate her into the colony if they had no other alternatives.  So she came to us.

It turned out she was not feral, just very afraid.  She moved into the house and soon became a very loving kitty.  But she found an escape route out of the cat run and came and went as she pleased.

I am on watch, waiting for her last breath.

Go in peace little kitty.

That makes two things now. Lois on a death watch, which saddens me terribly.

And that I had to postpone seeing someone so very dear to me.

She passed in the night. She had a convulsion and that was it.

I will bury her this morning.

My kids will lose it if the dog dies. Part of the tribe. Sleeps next to the baby in the day. Snuggles with my 4 year old at night to keep her safe. I believe that mutt would defend my children with it's life.

I have no doubt she would.  You have a special dog.

When I was born we had a Siamese cat.  She had lost a litter of kittens and adopted me as her own.  When non family members would approach my crib she would growl and hiss at them.

I've always had cats and one very special dog. She was such a good dog that I tried twice more with dogs and failed.  I think I'll stick with cats, at least for now.

My condolenses about your kitty, Lois. I'll never forget how my previous cat went, it was horrible to have to see him got through that... :'(

We have a family of Hawks on the farm and they patrol every night.
(they have lived above the barn for many years).
Anyway, one time we had a mom cat with kittens, needless to say the Hawk got the kittens when they ventured out to far from the barn.
Now, No Cats.

Love,
Liz

A friend I haven't seen in much too long was supposed to have a late lunch with me. Her job got in the way and I spent that time waiting for her instead. We never got to see each other.

I really was looking forward to seeing her again. Very, very disappointed. Brought to mind bad memories.

Hey you, just shush!   :-*

What ruined my day today....
Listening to the radio on the way to work.    In the metro Detroit area, a man suffocated his 4 and 7 year old children, then shot his 17 and 19 year olds execution style.  He stabbed and shot his wife.   Then he called 911.
The 4 children have passed, the mother of the children is in critical condition.
So so sad.

I tried to sexually abuse my wife, but she had to go to work. Damn that sexy chefs uniform of hers.

It was such a Gong Show at the plant this past week that I thought Chuck Barris was going to jump out at any moment. At one point I had 4 people in front of me demanding my attention, critical info being passed over the radio and the effin' boss calling on the phone asking me to measure something.

We average 150-160 people on site during the day on weekdays. Monday-Wednesday we had about 240 people working on a couple of large projects (power pole replacements, electrical sub-station commissioning) and production unit maintenance shutdown.

As confusing as it seemed to be, it is quite amazing that things were getting done. The power pole work and the sub-station commissioning should be done today. The maintenance work is 4 or 5 days behind schedule due to upper management not listening to the operators who said that it would take 14 days to do something. Despite the warning about 14 days, they scheduled 10 for the work. And THEN, something went sideways adding a day.

That is all.
