Nancy Pelosi's Husband Attacked

This country continues to get crazier by the day. Early this morning, an intruder broke into Nancy Pelosi's home and attacked her husband with a hammer shouting "Where is Nancy!"

Paul Pelosi was severely beaten about the head and body suffering blunt force injuries. He is expected to make a full recovery.

Nancy Pelosi was in Washington DC with her protection detail at the time.

The assailant is in the custody of the San Francisco police. They and the FBI are investigating.

What does this say about our Country that lawmakers and even their families are not safe. This news left me both angry and sad at the same time. Our politicians on both sides of the aisle need to stop the angry rhetoric and start having civil discourse.

The country is always going to have some nut cases. Why do
elected officials seem to want to keeping fanning the flames.

Police report that DePape broke a rear door window and entered the house. The alarm was not on.

When police arrived, both men were in their underwear-fighting over a hammer.

Again, utter lie. As for the Friday attack, DePape was “prepared to detain and injure Speaker Pelosi when he entered the Pelosi residence,” according to a federal court filing.
Federal investigators said DePape had zip ties, a roll of tape, rope, a journal and the hammer with him that morning.
According to the filing, San Francisco police investigators recorded their interview with DePape, during which he said that Pelosi was “the ‘leader of the pack’ of lies told by the Democratic Party,” and that he planned to hold her hostage and break her kneecaps if she lied to him, which would “show other Members of Congress there were consequences to actions.”

DePape, 42, lives in Richmond, Calif., about 11 miles from Pelosi’s home.
The federal court filing said he lived in the garage at a residence on Shasta Street in Richmond. Investigators seized two hammers and a sword along with a pair of rubber and cloth gloves from the garage Saturday, per the filing.

Provide your source.  Provide the source for your story.  Claiming to have the transcript for a conversation between the police and a victim after he was getting attacked by a man with a hammer is a pretty outrageous claim, and outrageous claims require outrageous evidence.

Now, you might be referring to the "unhinged" 911 call that seemed to be all over the place.  Have you ever had to sneak a 911 call?  Probably not.  You've probably never called 911 and pretended to order a pizza because an abusive spouse was nearby.  You've probably never called 911 and spent a moment trying to confuse the person with the weapon right in front of you.  If that's the entire basis for your rant and "there's something here" falls apart after about 5 seconds of looking at it through Occam's Razor.

Never posit duality.  The simplest answer is to be preferred.  Which of the following is the simple answer?

• A grown man espousing Anti-vax, QAnon, Right Wing Conspiracy lies just happened to the be hidden gay lover of the husband of the Speaker of the House and all of the equipment he brought with him to kidnap someone just happened to be in his backpack/bag when he came over and smashing his "lover" in the head with a hammer was fit of passion. 
• A grown man espousing Anti-vax, QAnon, Right Wing Conspiracy lies bought into the years of smear attacks against Nancy Pelosi and decided to do something to her to "teach her a lesson", which is exactly what he said he would do in his blog.  But due to piss poor planning, he broke into her house when she was across the country and took this as a chance to attack and try to kill her husband, another boogeyman of the Far Right.

This is the third credible assassination attempt against a Democratic member of Congress this year.  It's only going to get worse as time goes on because of Right Wing behavior.  They're celebrating this guy on Right Wing Media.  How long until another QAnon follower decides to "finish what he started" and actually show up with a gun instead of a hammer?
