It’s so warm in the afternoons that my dog goes only as far as she needs to go to go then turns around and practically races home. My FitBit step count suffers as a result.

That is all.

Waco, late June.  Hot, and muggy, for the next 3 months, with a slight chance of rain.

The heat came back two days after our lovely rain.  No more rain forecast for the next 10 days.  I hope this changes.

It was 107 F today, 108 F is forecast for tomorrow. Then dropping to 102 F by Saturday.

Very Hot and Humid Tonight......
Suppose to go up to 105 degrees tomorrow (way to hot for the horses).
It's going to be a miserable week with this kind of heat.

Love,
Liz

Monsoon winds brought rain for two days in a row here in Tucson.  Yesterday it rained all day starting around noon.  Just North of Tucson, in a town called Marana, high winds and rain caused a massive train derailment, flooding, and road closures.

Luckily for me, I was in Gilbert, AZ over the weekend but left before the rains came. As much as I enjoy rain, I didn't really want to get caught up in a monsoon. :-p

Hot and Humid.......But not as bad has it has been.
It's hanging around 92 degrees right now.
Humid as hell, but actually no rain in the forecast for at least the next 3 days.

Love,
Liz

35-36 Celsius today, expected to reach all-time UK record (38+C) on Friday.

Everything is dry, everything is brown.

Everybody is too hot to do anything.

People are going shopping just to stand in the freezer aisle and feel themselves not sweat for a moment.

We had a candle melt to a puddle a couple of days ago, without being lit.

On the plus side, there are many, many scantily-clad people everywhere you look...

After a record hot summer, so far, we got a break today. Temps in the mid 60s F.  After all the heat and humidity it feels a bit chilly.

How chilly you ask???  Well, there was some significant shrinkage.

I second that IB... Its just too friggin' hot... Fortunately I had a meeting this afternoon in an air conditioned room. That was great until I went outside and the heat nearly blasted me away...

At least the weather here isn’t as bad as it is on Mars.

Mars' 2018 dust storm intensifies.
The martian dust storm that put the Opportunity rover to sleep in early June has by now intensified into a Planet-Encircling Dust Event, or PEDE, that would cover both North America and Russia completely if it were on Earth.

It's only in the 90s.  I only say "Only," because last week, Waco set the new record at 112 F.  I'm sure it's all a hoax, though.

Fake news!!!  Liberals are running around with cigarette lighters messing with all the thermometers just to fool you into thinking it’s hot!

Weather is normal. Tornadoes, a plague of locusts, a plague of boils, and I dread the next to occur.

There are three kinds of people in the world. Those who can count, and those who can't.
