There's 22 pages of links / videos of different covers posted previously. I'm not sure how you can say it isn't the same. I'm sure they were posted because at the time the poster thought they were worthy. I'm not trying to pick an argument. I was polite in my highlighting this in the first place.

To be honest I didn't even know much about Thin Lizzy before I heard Bon Jovi's version. I've heard "Jailbreak" which I like. I didn't hear the original until long after hearing Bon Jovi's, and I think the cover has more of a punch to it.

WBL, just because a song is a cover, does not make it better than the original. There are many covers that don't even come close to the greatness of the original. Then you have those that are so much better than the original, that it blows the original away. That's the difference.

Did you even look at the thread, there's covers posted who members have thought better than the original. I said in my first comment, there maybe a cross over and you disregarded it.
