here in texas, it's more like do we re-elect a sleazy squat Canadian or a tall lanky up and comer from El Paso. One is a boot licker and the other is a boot wearer.

Quote
Democrat Pritzker has spent $171 million of his wealth to try and become governor. Rauner, following his first election, has spent close to $70 million of his own money.

The Illinois governor’s race will be remembered as one of the ugliest ever but also as one in which the two main candidates -- one a billionaire and the other a near-billionaire -- raised over $255 million.

"The concern is that just the amount of resources they have at their disposal tend to drown out all those other voices," Young said in an interview at his Chicago office. "This money, it’s a plague, unfortunately, on our electoral system."

Absolutely revolting.

West Virginia, North Carolina, voters have 5 minutes to get into the lines... Florida Panhandle is open until 8 pm, so get into the lines and stay there to make your Vote count. Same with Pennsylvania, and so on, and so on...

DC voted for the Democrat(s) today, I can announce, without seeing any tally results at all so far. Same for New York and California, with some possible and important exceptions in actual States, rather than small city like DC.

May be some time before all the lawsuits and so forth are settled so the final count may not happen tonight, but we will know the gist of it all in a few hours.

Some people are like the 'slinky'. Not really good for much,
but they bring a smile to your face as they fall down stairs.

OMG, someone (Guess who) said it was a "Conspiracy."

It's the Popular Vote.  Of course it's a fucking Conspiracy.  In fact, it's 2!

Polls are saying Michigan going green.

Though I have enjoyed it recreationally in the past, I voted against it.

I think I recall CG saying something along the lines of, "Voting for the lessor of two evils."

Yes, I voted.  Hard to mark ballot while holding my nose closed with the other hand.

This years election and campaign ads left such a bad taste in my mouth that for the first time in my life I considered eating Lutefisk.  If you don't know any Norskis check this link.

https://www.thedailymeal.com/travel/what-heck-lutefisk-and-why-do-minnesotans-eat-it

Yes, it's fish soaked in lye.  Those old Vikings had some weird tastes.
Now if we can just get our Shield Maiden to do something about those ads....

Well trained and been made compliant....by my cat Neville

Yep, me too.  I’m having some medicine called bourbon right now.  Really, the whole alcohol is medicine thing comes from my future in-laws in particular her sister and brother in-law we went to Hawaii with.  Medicine was always code for wanting a drink.

What are they? Southern Baptists?

There are three kinds of people in the world. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Southern for sure, all the way down to the equator in Peru.  It’s her sister’s husband and myself that seem to be partial to bourbon.
