President Trump's leadership, attention to detail, has caused Seasonal Flu to be reduced to a 131 year low, a wide variety of "News" sites report.

No other possible reason has been put forth to date, and the 2020-2021 Flu Season, which should be well underway, with about 27 reports during initial weeks of January on average, and THIS January the same period has shown only 1 or up to 3 such reports, per Thousand in population, depending upon which statistics are being used, and reported.

Finally some GOOD NEWS, eh?

A 95% reduction is wonderful to hear. Flu hospitalizations in December 2020 were TOO LOW according to the CDC, to make a meaningful report... Great to hear...

My "spidey sense" tells me we can also expect Pneumonia as a cause of death, as many Hospitals make their reports for this year to date, and much of last year, may also be so remarkably low, as to give us all more GOOD NEWS, with credit going to the Administration of President Trump, of course, since this happened on his watch, and we are talking about these events as measured in the beginning week(s) of January 2021 as well as the waning weeks of December 2020.

I am certain all welcome such great news, and trust both these usually and routinely deadly causes of American deaths, as reported, have been totally vanquished!

Nope, not buying that.

Not giving him or his administration credit for something they weren't even attempting to do. They fell ass backwards into a positive brought on by social distancing and wearing masks to prevent the spread of covid.

Or, the fact that we're in the midst of a global pandemic and people are taking somewhat extreme precautionary measures -- wearing masks, socially distancing, washing or sanitizing their hands, etc. -- means that you don't need "science" or "News" sites to explain why season flu infection rates are down significantly.

And since President Trump's "leadership" and "attention to detail" included flaunting COVID-19 precautionary measures, the only surprise it that the season flu rate isn't even lower.

Our local health department encouraged everyone to get a flu shot so we would not get hit with a double wammy of COVID + Flu. Trump had nothing to do with it.  But I suspect Joan is just trolling us.

I took my kids there once years ago.  It’s just a tourist trap near the Alamo.  Locals don’t go there.
