On KB, as on other sites, the avatar is the person. It is a thumbnail sketch of what that person wants others to think. Avatars can run the gamut of photography or animation. Some people are known on many sites by their avatar, that is, if they choose to maintain the same one. Others, myself included, just adopted one from a menu provided by the board. And then there is our favorite Mod Gia's avatar. Probably the only avatar guaranteed to get a man, or a woman, as the case may be, excited.
If you so choose, why not let members know why you chose the avatar that you use. And if you like certain avatars, now is the place to let them know. I think we can have some fun with this.
Watcher here will change his avatar soon, to align more closely with his name.

Close to 3 years ago on another forum, I met my big sis Gia and told her I would like an avatar that would be unique but still identify me and the way I am. The giraffe was Michelle's favorite animal. In fact, her most favorite place to visit was the Detroit Zoo. When we first married, we lived a mile from there. She'd walk there every day and spend anywhere from 3 to 6 hours a day just walking around or reading a book near one of the exhibits. She spent so much time there she became a docent and worked up to 5 days a week and up to 6 hours a day at this voluntary position. The first time she became ill, she took a leave and never returned as a docent. As her health improved she began visiting again, usually one or two times each week, even after we moved 30 miles away. About 5 years ago, we moved closer and she began visiting more frequently. Her sewing/crafts room was filled with spectacular images of her with most of the animals from her time working there. Probably not the coolest or sexiest avatar for a porn forum, but Michelle would have loved this avatar.
The other thing - my previous avatar - I liked the meaning of it with Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe. They were in love. After she passed, he had flowers delivered to her grave site every week (didn't know this until Toe told me). But the thing is, I'm a Tiger fan. I hate the Yankees. So Joe D needed to go. I googled Joe and Michelle and the best thing that came up was some pics of Joe Biden with the first lady, that would be kind of creepy.

I chose Hades a long time ago... I use it on several boards.
I love the night time. I love(d) seclusion. And for a good number of (my more depressed) years I totally lived at night.
Complimentary high school "classical languages" got me mildly interested in greek mythology, and Hades is the one greek god that is generally frowned upon/shunned by both humans and gods alike. Which suits me fine.
Add to that my open (yet non-preaching) atheism and well... you get my alter-ego "Hades".

Not long after I joined the first site I had found, I also discovered all these monster porn pics. Without a whole lot of thought, I chose one to upload. I've never been very technically savvy, so I recall struggling to figure that out. That was on RU.
The really funny thing, RU went down for a couple days soon after. When I couldn't get on, I actually thought my avatar had gotten me banned....LOL
I've used it for a few sites now and never had any other. I even wrote a story about the demon and girl that is very dark and not yet complete.

After 4 years as Liza I decided it was time for a change.
I wore a cowboy hat often in my 20's and loved it so I thought I would go with something like that. I googled "lady cowgirl" or lady sheriff". Whenever I get together with those two my confidence is boosted, my attitude comes to the surface, and I just feel non top of the world. Since junior high the three of us did it all together. Yes, it's an attribute in the header of the file. You need something that exports GIF files and allows you to control this attribute. I use the open source graphics program gimp, which has this feature.
Failing that, give it to me, and I'll do it for you. It only takes a minute.

It is a jurisdictional thing. I don’t know of any formal code that requires specific information to be included in a mug shot. I think as we go into the digital age, and a national registry of offenders, that will change. And mug shots will pretty much be uniform, together with fingerprints, iris scans, and DNA samples. The United States pretty much leads the world in percentage of the general population that is incarcerated.

Not that I ever looked that curvy !
Hubby says she looks just like me, but the only similarities I see are the blonde hair and the business suit. I started work at a large organization who insisted on a dress code [ back in the '70's when such ideas were commonplace].
I wouldn't have got away with a skirt that short though.
There is just something about her that takes me straight back to that time of my life.
