Watching “Christmas with the Family” on Vice. Nice marathon of mob movies.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas Day.

Florida temps dropped.  The waves are pretty big with winds.  Hopefully things calm down and the temps go up.

Regardless of the weather , we had a great time today.

I spent Christmas Eve at my dad's house.  My half-brother Jason and his family were supposed to be there as well this year but since the pandemic, all we did was a video chat with him and the kiddos.  My dad dropped the presents off with them earlier that morning, and we watched the kids opened them, well he did anyways, they got the normal card, and money from me, but I changed it up a bit this year, I got them a board game, and each a personalized dog pooping 2020 Christmas ornament.  They all laughed at them so it was worth it.

I cooked us dinner and then slept over, woke up to a big "hunters" breakfast as my dad calls it.  Eggs, bacon, pancakes, bacon, toast, bacon, sausages, and of course bacon.  Then me and dad opened the gifts we got each other.  I bought him a new arm chair caddy and a giftcard to home depot.  He gave me cold hard cash, and that was it.  Spent the rest of the day watching christmas movies and just talking till late afternoon.  Went home curled up under a blanket watched my favorite Christmas movies and fell asleep on the couch.

Hope you all had a fantastic day yesterday love you all  :emot_kiss:

Hunter's breakfast!  That is more then I have in a week. It sounds good, minus the bacon though.  8)

My car must haves: heated seats, remote start.
And since Dan, I need Memory Seats.

Mine come on automatically below 40F, heated steering wheel too.  It’s annoying actually, prefer to make that decision myself which is usually not until around 20F or below.  So I’m often hitting buttons on my console to turn things off.

Oh btw my dear, I’ll heat your seat.

Ours even has a heated steering wheel, which, along with heated and cooled seats, I never use. But Mrs W always uses.

Blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup, sausage, and a hot cup of coffee.

Heard from my daughter last night that she's received her first Covid vaccine. She has a job driving patients to and from medical appointments.  So glad she's getting protected. No side effects other than arm a bit sore.

My friends working at froedert said the same thing.  An uncomfortable ache as of tight now, but they've seen some of their coworkers have to take a fee days off from side effects.

We got home safely from Florida mid day yesterday.  Yay.  We had a nice time but the weather was really yucky.  We had a boat rented for the week and four wave runners and only were able to use them one day.  :(   5 beautiful sunsets made it worth the trip alone.  I was the only one to enjoy the sunrises as everyone else enjoyed their vacation time by sleeping in late.

After we got home yesterday, we were invited to a NYE celebration.  It's just our family and theirs.  9 of us total.  Dan's two oldest are friends with their son and daughter of the same ages.  The gathering is in their heated garage that also has a ventilation cross breeze.  Dan is going over early to help move their giant screen TV into the garage.  We are also wearing masks.  Karaoke (one family gets one mic, one family gets the other mic), games, charades, and they're big into Yahtzee.  So a Yahtzee tournament.   And beer pong.  And a couple of new games that were received for Christmas, we were each told to bring our own fully charged iPads and some games are played on those.

Glad our Jules is back safe and sound. Good to hear you made the best of the trip in spite of weather.

Happy New Year.

Oh, there are tan lines.  For Dan's eyes only my feathered friend.

And as for our night with friends that I mentioned above.  CANCELLED.  One of their children developed a cough.  Playing it safe.

Dan and I are on the couch.  The two older girls are on Zoom parties.  The younger one we will have a 10:00 new years celebration.  So, gotta go for now.  Pouring a glass of New Riff Rye.

Back on about midnight for the POY and Writer of the Year announcements.

Happy New Years everybody.  Be safe.   Many fireworks are already going in my city.  Fun to watch.

It's been many years since I stayed up to see the New Year in. Not a big whoop to us.

2020 was such a crappy year tho', I plan to see the year end.
I know I'm an early riser but I'm determined to see the end of this
