Right around the 60 day mark since I've had a drink.
I couldn't resist tonight.  A nice pour of Evan Williams. One ice cube to cool it down a smidge.  I sipped on it for 3 hours.

Also, I stepped on the scale for the first time since New Years. Happy with the results.

Wife and I headed north yesterday for a talk by a favorite photographer and naturalist talk about Loons and show pictures he's taken of this iconic diving bird.

We've been to a few of his other talks and in addition to being informative he's also humorous keeping it he talks light hearted while still being educational. Stan Tekiela is also a very accomplished photographer so his talks are well illustrated.

We left early for the 80 mile drive and had time to take a short drive on the wildlife refuge. Saw a few hundred Trumpeter Swans. The swans have made a remarkable comeback from near extinction to being removed from the endangered species list.

Then back to town for e quick lunch before heading to the lecture. So good for both of us to get out as health problems have kept us close to home last couple years..

HI all,
WMMD?

One of the nurses from the hospital knocked on our door this morning. Apparently we have  a home visit schedule to check on Rob's wellbeing.

We invited her up to the terrace where she performed her checks and exams. All ok.

She stayed for lunch and Rob was like a puppy dog ,showing her all round the "estate" . She's coming back next week ,yey. I'm hoping that she will become a friend ,she is SO cute !

Rob being Rob insisted on hugging her goodbye ; I knew what he would do and I looked for her reaction. Yep sure enough I saw her hips swivel up against him, little minx.

So maybe he now has a girlfriend ,haha. Rob and Lolo [Lorraine]... sounds cool , as long as I get to watch !

haha , I never thought of it that way , but hey we make a good team ,lol.

I was contacted by a legal company that I am not familiar with, inquiring if I would be interested in applying for a position. I told them I’d be happy to talk about it. I got a call from General Counsel today for a “screening interview.“ We ended up talking on the phone for an hour. The work sounds great, the company sounds great, and it is 100% remote. They will provide all the necessary equipment and software to do that. Oh, and one other thing, it pays considerably more than the last job.

She wants to set up a Zoom conference with the management committee next week. I am really excited that they’re going to offer a position.

Brunch with with the wife of my best friend who died last fall. Last time I spoke with him made me promise to watch over her.

The three of us are staying close. After a great brunch it back to her place. There we played with her dog and watched a movie.

It's an easy promise to keep. We all enjoy each other's company.

Phone rang and it showed it was a video call from the daughter. Clicked on and there she was on a gondola going up the mountain to ski. Video gave me a great view of the mountain peaks and a clear blue sky.

Being a dad I noticed she was wearing a helmet so staying safe. :D

They live near the Adirondacks and.ski Whiteface Mountain. That's where the 1968 Winter Olympics were.held. (sigh) My little girl on an Olympic mountain.

Have to relate this from last nights episode with the wife
 After deciding to call 911, the first to arrive were  the firemen. We're only a few blocks from the station so that's no surprise.

First guy in was a big husky guy and he only had one small piece of equipment in one hand. Second guy also a large man and he had one medium size bag. Finally a young short skinny kid came in with three or four bags. He was really struggling with them too.

I looked at him as he was going by. I couldn't resist. I asked why did he get all the big bags. "Are you the new guy" I asked. He replied yes and passed by dragging his load behind him.

I can see him getting all the dirty jobs at the station too until another new guy/gal comes in.

Was one humorous event out of the bad night. Wife is doing well BTW.
