Door 44, Door Peninsula, Lautenbach's, Red Oak which is a newer one, but there are quite a few. There are cherry orchards all over the place up there.

They have all kinds. I stay towards the sweeter one, and  Door Peninsula makes a fantastic Mead. So sweet and so delicious. I will literally just drink it straight from the bottle.

Just found out today wife can come home from rehab Saturday. WOO HOO!!! :emot_cheerlead:
Think it's been over three.weeks have to check back posts

She'll have last PT/OT sessions Friday then Saturday morning I'll make a last trip there to bring her home.

About time... she has a lot of her work that's pulling up here. :facepalm: :facepalm: :facepalm:

This morning for my morning coffee Suzy and i went out on the back patio and there was a group of deer in our back yard by our Ash trees, it was beautiful when i see them in the morning!

Great way to start a morning Beth. We enjoy coffee in the morning when it's warmer. All we get for wildlife are bunnies and squirrels. Of course song birds add music to the morning.

Made my day today my partner suprised me that she got us 2 tickets to Iron Maiden Live in concert this Fall!! I love her even more now!  :emot_kiss: XoXo ... this kind of made my Year .....

Big day. Met our friend for lunch. Our favorite burger and malt shop.

After finishing lunch she headed home which was close and picked up her dog. I grabbed malt for.the wife and headed to the rehab center. Our friend got there shortly after with her dog.

Big treat for wifey having a visit from the pooch. They're great friends.

After I picked up a few things from the store plus got a family size bag of Hershey Kisses. We'll be presenting that to the nursing staff along with a nice thank you card and note. They've been just fantastic about taking care of the wife.

The nurses will love it. 

Unknown to me, on three different occasions Dan had bought Starbucks for the nursing station on my floor.  With that, he always got the privilege of staying past visiting hours.  Other times when he came in prior to visiting hours  he would bring dozens of warm Krispy Kreme  donuts, early admittance was always granted. And they treated me so great. 

Dan said it was a small price to pay for what they do. His mom was a nurse and she would always come home in a great mood when patients showed appreciation.

A couple years before I joined KB, I had a rather nasty MS flareup and I ended up falling out of the shower and couldn't regain my balance enough to get up by myself. I was able to knock my phone off the counter, but instead of calling emergency services, I called my cousin, who in turn called emergency services, blah, blah, blah, long story short, I spent three nights in the hospital. MRIs and scans on the ol brain. My dad visited and brought baked goods for them on the first night, and just like MJ, I was given a little more attention, and they all loved my dad... except this one guy named Scott, dad and him did not vibe together at all.

I had a TC (grand mal) seizure in the shower, back in January. Broke two ribs and three toes. I have a very strong shower phobia now. Some kind of PTSD.

So sorry two fine ladies here have this horrid disease.
Me, the cancer is just going to kill me. You two have so many things going on and it just gets worse. My hope is that that gives you time for science to find a cure.

In my case they tell me there's no cure. But, just since I was diagnosed a couple years ago, there's a new drug that's been released for the same genetic type of cancer I have. If nothing else it's more time to tease the ladies of KB. ;D :emot_kiss:

We all suffer from a “chronic incurable disease called life.” You can’t cheat death, only delay it. But we could all get hit by a bus, or choke on a meatball.  There’s no certainly about longevity.

And there’s no point in being too worked up about things. I’m a diabetic, epileptic, zipper club member, who’s also somewhat blind and deaf. We all have something. Eventually.

My ex always needed to blame the victim. “Well no wonder he died! He liked fatty foods.” I think it’s a fear based response. As if, by not eating fatty foods you are going to avoid death. Jim Fixx ran marathons, and dropped dead from a heart attack at age 52. When it’s your time, it’s your time.

I think it’s more important to put life in your years, than add years to your life. I have no regrets, because I’ve done pretty much everything I ever dreamed of doing.

We’ve been together a long time here. Hope that continues to be the case. We’ve got your back, and send nothing but love and positive energy your way.

*Note: I’ve got a relative in ICU at the moment, with a serious bowel perforation. Prognosis is not good. Been thinking about these things lately.

"What made your day today" took a right turn into bummersville.

Yes, what I have will progressively get worse, and one day I may not even be able to walk, or even talk, but as PH says, I'm living life now. Why I maintain a job I adore over one that'll make me more money. I also never say no to a chance to get out and do somthing fun. Which leads me to a what made my day event.

Last night I was asked to go to a concert with some friends. They had an extra ticket, and they know what music I like. The band Starset, isn't one of my favorites, but they are really good, and have some songs I really like. They have a little bit of everything. They are a heavy rock, with some electronic, as well as two member who are a cellist and a violinist. It wasnt a typical concert with openers and then the headliner, it was just them. They didnt have a new album out to celebrate, so it was all there old songs. The venue was completely packed. Not sure if it was sold out, but it sure looked like it.

The night ended with me on top of Allan which is another thing I make sure I do plenty of while I can😘

My promiscuity increased dramatically after my diagnosis. Have to get that dick while I can LoL!
