Had a heartfelt discussion with my little brother about how... I just don't want to play fortnite anymore. The game is just boring and pointless. To which he said "It's just an excuse to spend time with you anyway."  :'(

We don't have to play video games to spend time together online.

But then I teased him about spending too much time with pictures of me.  :emot_laughing: Give me a break, he's not even embarrassed about it.

Another year is officially underway.

I got the new 2020 calendars hung yesterday.  I uploaded some of my pictures and created my own.  Have a "year" of our trip last spring to Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota and another featuring Trumpeter Swan pictures I've taken over the years.

Looking at the pristine calendar pages...nothing written in the blank day spaces, soon to be filled with various upcoming events. (for old people that's mostly Doctor appointments :D)

Considering the 2020 date, and seeing the blank days waiting to be filled in, it's sorta like "20-20 foresight" ;D

Watcher wonders what the brother does when he is spending too much time with pictures of Chirp... ;D

My plan to go there is in 2021 on the way to Glacier NP.  That will also rack up two more states I’ve never visited, North Dakota and ‘wait for it’ Minnesota.  As of now, I’ve been to 46 U.S. states.  I crossed off Hawaii, Oregon and Washington State in 2018.

So what are the other two? Inquiring minds want to know.

Hope you'll be able to stop over in Minnesota on your way through.  Let me know if I can help, pointing out places of interest.

Should be a fun trip.

I also have not been to Alaska and Idaho.  There’s a couple states that probably shouldn’t count, as I didn’t do much more than just drive through them.  Every state deserves a visit to several sites of interest.

Based on my last response, I hope I do more than just drive through Minnesota, as I’m sure there’s lots to see.  Would really love to visit Voyageurs NP one day and bring my canoe.  Just maybe that will be in 2021.

Xmas tree and everything is gone. I fucking hate Xmas. Spent a fortune again.

I spent half an hour vacuuming just to make sure there was nothing left of the tree. My living room is finally back in order.

I once left a tree up until Easter (March)

Had my team of sled dogs and we were going out training on local trails most late afternoons.  The damn tree wasn't bothering anything, so we never bothered.  As Easter approached, we did talk about hanging eggs in place of the ornaments.

Orthodox Nativity is celebrated on January 7th by the Gregorian Calendar.  Tree is always up until then.  Then the argument ensues over keeping it up until old calendar New Year, January 14.

CJ's fights with wifey.  :D

Wifey: I've made the decision, white girl, you're selling that stupid back to the future car.

Me: I'd rather get a divorce.

Wifey: You'd rather keep that car with all that crap on it than be married to me?

Me: The car was my life long dream.

Wifey: And what was I?

Me: My lifelong nightmare.

The anger intensifies.  ;D

Wifey: Either you sell it, or I will.

Me: That would be theft of property. Or grand theft auto.

Wifey: It's just sitting in the garage, covered up and useless.

Me: Because it's winter. I'd never take it anywhere in the winter. Besides, it's a pain in the ass to drive. The only reason to take it out is to see peoples reactions.

Wifey: Get! Rid! Of! It!

Me: Nope. There's plenty of room for everyone else's cars.

Wifey: If you love me you'll sell it and put the money into our retirement fund.

CJ says nothing for at least 30 seconds.

Wifey: I said IF YOU LOVE ME!

Me: I heard you.

CJ is never selling the back to the future car. I'd rather get a divorce.  ;D

No Christmas tree this year as we were not home. 10 days in San Diego. We have had our outdoor lights lit every night since 1 December. Tonight is the last night they will be lit.

On the what made my day aspect — eye specialist told me that I would only need one more set of injections into my eyes. Then some laser treatments to the blood vessels at the back of my eye and done.

I fucking hate those injections.

That is all.

CJ made spaghetti for the tribe. I really wish the younger ones wouldn't literally lick their plates.

Cute as it may be, it just makes them look like little piggies.  ;D I always tell them to save some bread to wipe the plate but they don't listen. The older kids do that now. Oh well. I'll be complaining when they don't do it anymore.

No wonder I get strange looks at Italian restaurants.

Guess I'd better post in "What I Learned" :emot_laughing:
