There are leaves, branches and dormant hostas all over the place,  the yard is looking pretty bad right now, somebody should get out there and clean it up... guess I'll call the landlord

I will file this under "What Have I Learned Today". I did not know flies were a longstanding symbol of the devil. I know I cursed those nasty deer flies up in Wisconsin on more then one ocassion.

Walk and sit in the park with my daughter. No one else wanted to go "too hot today". That's alright, I wanted time with my baby.

So I got to spend the day with a beautiful girl surrounded by autumn colors.  ;D

A pumpkin carving party at noon. 

We're having my daddy and his friend over, along with my brother in laws family over and a couple of the girls friends.   About 15 of us all together.   Just have to run to the store to get some tomatoes and onions for the burgers.  And the cider mill for donuts and cider.  Desserts and other sides for the burgers is being brought by others.

I've been up since 4:30 though.  Starting to feel sleepy, so maybe get  a couple of more hours sleep in right now.

Our female cat finally joined me on my new recliner. We tossed the old one last weekend and my boy, Neville was right there the first night, pressed against my leg. Angel, our girl, made a couple short visits, but wasn't impressed.

This morning she finally gave in and is now enjoying some time with "Dad". :D

Do I spoil the kitties? Oh yes! When shopping for the new recliner we looked at a nice one in our price range. Then I noticed that there was a gap between the seat and footrest.

Dang... that's where the cat lays! So, we spent another $200, for a model that provides room for kitty.
