Sounds like a great time, MS. Happy you enjoyed it. Our neighborhood party is late August. The only time we could all be available.

WMMD- foot getting better each day. Swelling really went down today. I'm able to walk slowly with only minor pain. It's the rocking of the foot motion from heel to toe is when it really hurts when Every bone across the top of my foot. Across the bottom of my foot is a black and blue stripe.
Still hurting but feels so much better than yesterday.

Also, Storms came through and dropped a nice amount of rain. Plants and grass really needed it.

this happened yesterday.

Mimi came to work like a boss. The momma bear secretaries left work with her for an hour, for a breakfast. She came back all dolled up better, and with a full belly. Now she is one of them, and they are highly cliquish. She walks in with them, and that kill bill song plays. She sits at her desk like a boss, people who at first dismissed her now hand her their paperwork with no resistance. Even my direct boss, and this woman is stone cold, was joking and messing with her playfully this morning. My heart was healed a bit. Also skeevy perv guy is not selling equipment in Direct Sales, no, he was demoted to tire scrubber. Alls well that ends well. Figured I would update you all.

In other news, I got a haircut today. Only my third haircut since the pandemic restrictions loosened.

I got my last haircut about 6 weeks ago. The previous one was about 8-9 months previous. My wife basically convinced me that I would never be able to grow my hair long enough for a pony tail (it would probably take a year or two).

I need to get mine cut, at leas trim out the grey. But my most trusted barber retired, so I have to find one who can do what I want near perfectly. Had to shave my beard, as its getting itchy.

It was a little depressing to look at the apron and see that all of the hairs that were cut are gray. Looked like a little snowstorm on the black apron.

To be honest, that's why I started shaving my head.  I'm already bald, but I can deal with balding hair if it's still my natural color.  As soon as the red faded and then the gray came in all around, it was time to grab the razor.  I look 10 years younger with a shaved head than I do with balding salt and pepper. 

There's a few white hairs in the beard, but they're still few and far between.  There's enough that they're the 'earned by stress' hairs but not so much that I can't wear red jackets in the winter time for fear of little kids sitting on my lap.

I had that kind of moment, back when I was 40.  So first there's that "fuck I'm getting old" feeling.  And just as I'm getting past that, my beard starts slowly but steadily turning gray.  For some reason my beard has always been a shade or two lighter than my dark blonde hair.  But still, it was quite depressing to see it actually turn grey.

Hair's still going strong.  Though there's noticeable grey in it.  I'm the opposite of Lt.  Grey is fine.  Balding means Gilette.

Don't ask me.

I was worried about my hair when I started chemo. Wasn't so much losing hair but losing patches leaving tufts poking out.
I mentioned at my last hair cut in February, just before I started chemo, that my next visit might be a buzz cut as I was starting chemo. The stylist.said if that's the case it will be free. I could have kissed her.

As it turned out I had no hair loss.

You know, it's not that big of a deal for a guy to color, if you're not happy with gray.  Dan colors his hair. I bet he looks great with a little gray though too.

Just realized....Never have I ever had sex with a bald guy.  I love running my hands through Dans hair while making love. I think rubbing my hands on a smooth head would be great too.

Current state of the gray. I was using Grecian shampoo for a while, but what I discovered is that anything the shampoo got on it would be stained. The shower curtain, the tiles, the tub, etc. And all of that requires scrubbing with bleach to remove. So I just decided to let the gray take over.

The salt and pepper look is very sexy. And I've been a two guys who were bald. One by choice the other was losing his hair so he just shaved it off. It's a bit weird seeing a bald head between my legs, but I got over it very quickly. Also reminds me of a joke

Friends once asked me how I'm so good at holding my liquor.  I told them that when he's bald you grab him by the ears.

I used hair dye one time. Hate admitting the reason. When I was a drug user, I supported my habit as a shoplifter. So it was a way to keep from being recognized by store security as opposed to vanity. My moustache would come and go a lot too. Crazy times I put behind me over 34 years ago.

Blondes rarely, if at all, have issues with graying hair. Now, issues with thinning hair is another problem.  I am seeing more and more men and women letting their hair stay gray and not dye it.  Salt and pepper pubes is also attractive.😎
