It could have been worse. He could have taken you camping in January.  ;D ;D    Glad Allan and you were able to get away for a few days.

Glad to have you back Sheila. No doubt you and Allen provided enough heat to keep the camper warm. ;D

I'm off to the VA again this week. Five appointments in three days. Final one Wednesday is another try at an epidural. Hopefully will get some relief for my legs.

Picking up a rental car this morning. Will be looking for something to get us around for the next couple years.
Need more luck there then with my medical issues.

Wow, five appointments in three days?  Good luck.

Yep... five. Most just check ups the grand finale is the epidural Wednesday. A shot of cortisone into my spine. My wife got help several years ago from them.

Toughest part is all the walking. VA is a huge place. Even the walk from handicap parking to the door is a trek for me now.

Makes me wish the VA would adopt valet parking like most hospitals have. In Milwaukee they out the hospital on tip of a hill, and I noticed that even the handicap parking is downhill and a climb.

What made my day was logging in and seeing posts from my friends. It was a really quiet holiday weekend. Dead as a doornail around here. You were missed, and I am thankful for the updates.

I complained in 'what ruined your day' that I'm still eating Thanksgiving leftovers.  What made my day is I get to eat more cranberry sauce because of it.   :emot_laughing:

The cranberry sauce we get is my favorite thing about Thanksgiving.  Luckily, the local grocer has it in their deli year round.

Stuffing was extra good this year.  I make some in cupcake tins and it was exceptionally good this year.

I love Thanksgiving dinner.

Two weeks after some idiot totaled my car. It had low mileage with regular service. I was sure it would last me up to the point when my health wouldn't allow me to drive any more.

Yesterday we got what we hope is the perfect replacement (fingers crossed). It's the same make and model so I don't have to learn how to operate something different. The car is two years newer than what we had and lower mileage. It's been well taken care of with Car Fax showing regular service and one owner.

Just got off the phone with the insurance company adjuster. We had a small problem with the title. Wife signed on the wrong line. No surprising as she's nearly blind now.

Had to send in a notarized form so that slowed things down.

So check will be sent today for our car that was wrecked two weeks ago.

I haven't talked about M's battle with her cancer diagnosis since I first mentioned it.    Though some of you have asked.  (Thank you for that!).

Well.....today she met with her Dr (he's delish btw) and......

WMMFnD is that She  remains cancer free.  Too bad she's 700 miles a way because I want to give her a big f'in hug.  Since I can't, maybe I'll celebrate with her daddy tonight (if ya know what I mean ;))

Cooking dinner, Doing laundry. Watching survivor, thaen I'm coming back on here at 9pm.  Pre party prior to me banging Danny-boy tonight.  (If ya know what I mean.)

Man!!! Does that make my day. Cancer free... what wonderful news. I've been wondering how M was doing but didn't want to intrude.

Too bad you can't give Her that big hug she deserves. I only hope Dan can handle your joy if you know what I mean. ;D

Well, he's pretty happy too.  The campground office might be getting noise complaints in a couple hours.  It's gonna get crazy up in here.

:emot_kiss: to you MS.  I love you Mister!

Okay, short story.

Browsing r/AustralianNostalgia, someone put up a pic of a 1.5L Coke bottle, asking if someone would give it an approximate date. Everyone noted the "Always Summer" logo device on the side, which puts around early to mid 90's. Me, on the other hand, spotted the phone number on the bottom of the label, which used a (008) prefix, which got replaced by the current 1800 prefix back in the early 90s (I think '93/'94 was when they did the switch). So I stated as much on the post.

Two people have praised me for the attention to detail (including the OP), and it's racked up ten upvotes as of writing. That made me pretty chuffed, considering it's a small, easy-to-miss but significant detail in terms of dating something.

That is fantastic news MJ. Could not be happier for her and your whole family. Woo! :emot_kiss:

Every time you mention the kids, I wonder about her and how she's doing. I am sorry for not asking more about her.

Always enjoy the little things love :emot_kiss:
