Nice Lois! Our gardeners need a snow shovel to find their gardens. Six to eight inches of wet heavy S**w fell yesterday. Yeah, my hose is out there somewhere too. Maybe I'll find it in the spring. The storm broke the previous record for Oct. 20th, when 3 inches fell in 1916.
Other casualties of the storm:
State Patrol reporting some 48 injuries, 493 crashes, 614 vehicles off the road, and 22 jackknifed semitrailer trucks between 11 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. In one case, a truck was blocking both westbound lanes of Interstate 94 near Alexandria.
The snowmen created today will all be festooned with newly fallen leaves.
