This was one of my biggest challenges.  You CAN"T trust spell/grammar checkers - they miss too much.  Proofing HAS to be done by a human being who knows what to look for or you end up with a lot of shit on your face (eggs are for pussies!).  Even WITH a good proofer you will still get 'flamed' by people who think that you MUST follow THEIR rules to the tee (freak'in vs. freak'en = I really got a "you dumb shit" 'flamer' about that one).

One thing that I have found useful is joining writer's boards like Writers Block, who’s link is on Kristen’s Collection, under “Our Favorite Sex Forums”  http://yotnasden.co.uk/forum/vb/index.php.  Good, experienced writers will read and critique your work.  They have all been there so they try VERY hard to be 'gentle' but honest.  Another good site is Desdemona's Fish Tank http://www.desdmona.com/todo.php (NOT as nice - some of the writers get a bit too serious for me - but some are great = Mat Twassel, e.g.).  I like these two groups because they primarily consist of authors of pornerotica (God Bless you Phil Phantom, whereever you are.)

Moy Important: GET A FREAK'EN MENTOR!  They've been there, got the t-shirt and will keep you from repeating the same mistakes they made.  Here, more is better (for me anyway).  I have several (i.e. Esu, Yotna & Deadly Ernest from Writers Block & Mat from Desdemona's).  Different areas of concentration but all with the same aim = make Ibea a better writer.

As writers, we all have our own strengths and weaknesses.  Mine is punctuation and sentence composition.  I am comma, & semi-colon; challenged for example.  I, also; have a tendency to create long-winded, complex, overly detailed, multi-part: intricate; complicated sentences (hard to believe, huh?)

In closing, one more smart-ass comment:  Don’t get confused by the similarity of Proofers and Editors – they ain’t the same ting, boyo!  A proofer fixes you fuck ups.  An editor’s job is to separate the wheat from the chaff – and keep the chaff (I stole the last part, but is SOOO TRUUE!)

I would be happy to check the spelling.  The word is 'starring', not 'staring' unless you meant to say they were staring at each other.
