Colm Wilkinson does it best! I am in love with Lea Salonga (eponine in dream cast, fantine in 20th anniversary celebration, singing voice of jasmine and mulan)
I feel like on my own describes me perfectly. I am an avid singer and love all of les mis. Here is a gorgeous video of Lea Salonga and guy merola
I tried it with several different URLs, abbreviated and long, I can't see if they work from android just blank spaces.

I've fixed it for you :D
This song is from Once which was a move and then a broadway production.
Falling Slowly performed by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova
I don't know you
But I want you
All the more for that
Words fall through me
And always fool me
And I can't react
And games that never amount
To more than they're meant
Will play themselves out
Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice
You'll make it now
Falling slowly, eyes that know me
And I can't go back
Moods that take me and erase me
And I'm painted black
You have suffered enough
And warred with yourself
It's time that you won
Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice
You've made it now
Falling slowly sing your melody
I'll sing along
I generally dislike musicals. There should be a law against Sondheim and Webber (ducks incoming boos). Two notable exceptions are "Sunny Afternoon" (the story of the Kinks) and "The School Of Rock" (the only musical I have seen twice and was blown away by the kids' musical ability).
Recently discovered that there is a musical about Bob Marley on in London so I plan to go to that.
Ha. I had forgotten about the musical theatre genre of Opera (and ballet). I was resistant to both until about twenty years ago I bought tickets to an opera as a present for Mrs ODK who liked both and I was prepared to suffer. Fortunately I picked a wonderful production of Carmen, complete with live horse ridden on to the stage. Also it was at the Royal Opera House, London, and the auditorium is just stunning.
My grandfather had season tickets to the opera, ballet, summer musicals, and symphony. So it was very much a part of my life growing up. I remember when I was in fourth grade, and he bought me a record player with the complete works of Ludwig van Beethoven. I think I was 10 years old? LOL.
I grew up with a stack of shellac 78s and a wind-up phonograph, the kind where you have to change the steel needle every few plays. Most of the records were operatic arias. With nothing else to listen to, I learned those records by heart, and whenever we hosted a party, my parents would drag me from my room and insist that I sing my song.
"Oh, how cute," the guests would say. "The little darling is singing La donna è mobile [Woman is fickle] from Rigoletto."
Wince, cringe, squirm, groan.
