In the 60's outside, should reach 70+ tomorrow.

Folks that like snow can take a drive up to Mt. Lemmon.

We occasionally get snow here in Tucson, but it rarely sticks around for long.

35° here, and 35° up in Dallas where Rope is.  That’s 240 miles northwest of me.  I still can’t figure out how the low temperatures circle down into Central Texas around the Metroplex (DFW).

For the past two days I've got up to temps of negative 7.  Still below zero yet there's  hope of seeing a + 3 degrees by the afternoon.

-3 here.....and there's a wind to make it even colder.
Horse's are in for the day.
However, It's a beautiful day outside (except for the cold), Bright Blue Sky, not a cloud to be seen. Snow on the ground (more like ice really). Just waiting for the pond to finish freezing over......IT'S ICE SKATING TIME...!!!!

Love,
Liz

When I woke up it was 40F, but it's warmed up to a nice 79F.

Bright and sunny.

At 8:00 AM, it's still at -14. Things are looking up. Later temps will soar up to -4...nearly zero. Woo Hoo! Gonna stay cold for another week, at least. Yes, for those who want to know, there is much shrinkage.

NYC was suppose to get 1 inch, but it looks like NW New Jersey is headed for about 2" to 3" of the white stuff.
Other than that not to bad this morning......25 degrees.

Spent the last 4 hours in the barn taking care of horses.
There's a Beautiful Full Moon Tonight and everything is shining bright from the snow.
Also.......It's 3 degrees outside.

It's been 28F/-2C in Dallas all day long, with light snow up until a couple of hours ago.

Yeah, yeah, folks NORTH of here have it worse, but traffic's pretty much doing nothing in Dallas.  We had a bit of freezing mist overnight and the car was fun to thaw out so I could run down to the Farmer's Market for some things I missed last week.  I waited until 2PM hoping the weather would warm up.  Fat chance!!  There's a Sprouts just 5 miles North of me that's reasonably convenient.  Natural Grocers has better prices, but Sprouts has a wider veggie selection.

When the temps drop below 26F later this evening, the little bit of moisture on the roads will freeze into ice.  That'll be fun for the poor bastards tomorrow.  I'm staying home.

Remember the Golden Rule: you do me, and I\'ll do you (paraphrased)

My sleep is all messed up so been watching Stargate SG1 all night.  It’s just after 5AM, and it’s 6F.

I didn’t feel that great so aborted my plan to spend New Years up on the Appalachian Trial.  It is probably below zero up there on the mountain right now.  I would have been prepared, but I can never keep the blankets on my dog.  She shakes them off.  The lowest I ever took her backpacking was around 10-15F and she shivered all night, so glad I didn’t chance it.

New Years Morning.......a wonderful -4 degrees.
"But".....it is a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky, no snow scheduled until later in the week.
I missed the ball dropping in NYC by about 45 minutes......went to bed.
Back up this morning at 5:30AM for the horses (as it is every morning).
No Complaints.......
Oh yeah, splurged on breakfast, made some blueberry pancakes (that's homemade not out of a box).

Love,
Liz

On 23 December, Mrs JBRG and I headed out of town for a few days. When we left, the temperature was about -10C at 8:30 AM. By the time we got to our destination later that afternoon, the temps at home had gone down to -18C and by the time the sun came up on Christmas Eve, the mercury was hovering around -25C. Where we were was quite balmy at -8C for the time we were there. When we got back to our home airport on Boxing Day, it was still -25C (thankfully the truck started without having the block heater plugged in). From then until the morning of 1 January, the temperatures never got above -25C for daytime highs. Now, it's -3C and forecast highs are in the -3 to -4C range until Saturday when the mercury will plunge down to -11C for the daytime high.

Welcome to Alberta where the weather changes more often than some people change their underwear.

That is all.

January 2nd.........Still Cold (but not so cold as to what is coming our way).
It's about 17 degrees right now and a crystal clear day.
However they are calling for snow on Thursday (1 to 3 inches).
Which would be nice as it has to warm up to snow.

Love,
Liz

Cold in Dallas.

Down in the teens at night and in the 20’s during the day. His is not the expected temperature here. For Dallas it’s freaking COLD!

There are three kinds of people in the world. Those who can count, and those who can't.
