Rain is a good thing

« Reply #3315 on: March 13, 2020, 11:37:27 PM »

In the past 5 days I experienced 5 different seasons.  We had rain from spring, heat from summer, snow for winter, cold and wind from autumn, and then sleet from f@#% Wisconsin weather season.  But considering what I've been doing the last two days, I truly did not mind the stay inside weather  Grin

I know, right.  4 seasons in 4 days.  Welcome to the Great Lakes.

My family and I went to Traverse City one spring in the early 00's around March.  We went skiing in the morning, and my sister and daddy went golfing about 4:00 while I stayed on the slopes.

It began snowing here yesterday afternoon. Woke up this morning to a covering of snow on all the grassy areas. Let all the lousy weather occur while we are dealing with the virus.

We received the snow overnight.   Sad
Dan actually drained the snowblower and put it away in storage, but it's not really sticking to the cement anyways.   The trees all look pretty.  I'm not going outside today for sure now.

Woke up to snow on the ground. Close your eyes and sleep a little and Mother Nature come by to f**k with me.  Sidewalk was clear so no shoveling needed...not that I'd do that.

This late in the season I go into my, "If God put it there, God can make it go away." attitude.

Temps in upper 40 today so will melt soon.

75° here today.  Tomorrow it will be 87°, so the AC will likely be turned on.

First time in many years that I did not have to use the snow blower all winter. The snow we got was mainly in 2 or 3 inch increments. I never even put gas in the snow blower this year.  One less chore to do.  Grin

81° F and sunny.  I have bread rising in the windowsill and raked the GD live oak leaves.  Oak pollen is off the charts.  Everything outside is coated in a green dust.

Thunder-boomers tonight. First major rain storm of the spring.

The usual storm we can expect up here is a snow storm of many inches. Loving a warmer spring for a change. :Db

We got some rain but no thunder here.  Not like it really matters though, no place to go so we're just staying under the covers.  Netflix and chill as it were.  Grin

It is 68° F right now.  Blue skies, and a gentle breeze.  A dry front moved through last night.  This day would be absolutely fucking perfect, except for the pollen.  We have a lot of live oak trees here in the Hill Country, and everything is covered with green pollen dust.  It doesn’t bother me, but everyone else in the house is reaching for the Benadryl.

37°F and cloudy.  I seen some flurries out my window as I watch the homeowners across the street clean their yards.   Sometimes is great being a renter.
