Had an unusual late start to my day.  But was able to get a great run in when the temps were in the upper 20's and before the snow started.  It just recently started coming down by me. As much as I dislike the cold and snow, it does look beautiful when it falls.

I agree.  Beautiful!  Incredible!   One of my favorite things to see.   I'm up early most every morning in the winter and am looking out the window pretty much every sunrise.  After a night time snow, one of my favorite sunrise sights is the scene outside my window slowly develop into a white landscape and fresh snow on the branches.  Like a forest of white trees.

Now that there is a decent amount of snow here, the cold is trying to have its turn.  With the windchill it feels like -3°.  I should have known better to try and run this morning.  Stepped outside and it wasn't too bad, until I rounded the corner and went straight into the 20 mph arctic blast.  Spun in mid air and sprinted back to my apartment.  I am now sitting under two blankets with my coffee.

Wow, must be cold.  Only one blanket and coffee here.   Two or three blankets in Detroit's Sunday/Monday forecast.

Was doing yoga on a dock on the Atlantic Ocean 5 days ago.  Curled up in a blanket waiting for the sun to come up for the white landscape reveal.  3" last night.  Dan is already out with the snow blower.

Wasn't even drinking the coffee, was just holding it under the blankets and letting the stream heat everything up.

Flashing lights, engines rumbling around, and the scraping of metal on concrete truly disturbs the tranquility of staring at fresh snow.

Cold weather finally moving in after a warmer than normal January. High of ten above today...warmest day for next several days. Wind chill brings the "feel" down below zero.

Extended forecast 'til Valentine's Day is single digits in daytime and below zero nights. Then back up to 20s after the 14th.

-11° this morning.  Almost no wind though so it was just tolerable.  I hadn't run in 4 days and couldnt miss anymore.  I made it a little past my first mile marker and had to turn around.  I figured I would have warmed up by the time I got back but that didn't happen.  Spent the rest of the morning in a boiling hot shower wondering if my car would start.

Have I mentioned how much I love my heated seats?  Well I do, I'm also in love with the remote start.

The outside temp on my car said -15°

Woke up at 4:30 this morning. Temp showed 15 below zero F.

Now at 8:00 AM, with the sun shining bright in the east I recheck and...s***! Still minus 15.

My fingers are still cold from this mornings run.  The windchill was absolutely horrifying this morning, but I couldnt cut my run short again.  -4° this morning, but with the windchill the realfeel temp was -14°. Even the boiling hot shower couldnt get the chill out of me

I'm starting to think that risking infection and going to the gym is the safer better plan.

MJ, in the basement, with the Kettleball.

I will never ever ever run in the cold again. #fts

First day in a week that I didn't wake up to negative temps.  0° when I went running.  Felt like a heatwave.

My friend lives in Minnesota. She went grocery shopping yesterday and took everything out of her car.  Or so she thought. She accidentally left a two liter of soda in there

Going out to her car for work this morning, the whole front interior of her car (dash/windows/seats) was covered in sticky cola. She said she didn't see the bottle of soda on the passernger side because of the middle console.
Her car is 3 days old. Light tan fabric cloth seats. She is not a happy camper this morning.

Minneapolis -9 degrees currently.  #FTS

Yesterday we actually got to a double digit positive temp of 14°.  Today its snowy and -2°

Tonight and tomorrow is going to be a frozen hell with windchill nearing -30°.

As a wise man said, "why do I live here?"

Currently -8° but with the windchill, feelsnlike -26°.

My car protested on it's way to the gym.  The cold makes it sound broken with extra noises.

Going to send valentine's day love to my heated seats and remote starter... again  :emot_kiss:

Bright sun here. Has warmed things up some. Since 7:00 AM, we've jumped from minus 18 F to a blistering 10 below zero at 11:30.

No nips up here...too many layers wrapping things up

It only got down to 25° last night, but we are in a rare ongoing below freezing period... last Friday to this coming Wednesday.  So Texans are freaking out, clearing grocer’s shelves, and posting photos of their sugar dusting of snow.  We can shrug off an F5 hurricane, but let it get a little cold and they are closing schools and urging people to stay home.

I lived in Minneapolis for three years, and know what -40° feels like.  I walked to the pharmacy yesterday in shorts.  I did wear a jacket, and yes it was a fucking stupid thing to do!
