I remeber when I lived in Georgia, it got down to 30° and snowed.  People majority of the people going anywhere drove so slow it was mind boggling. Most of the people out and about were soldiers who were used to that kind of thing. But I do remember making a snow angel at a nearby gas station and people there were taking pictures like they've never seen one made before.

The next day snow was gone temps in the upper 40s and business and usual.

Finally snowing good.  Really coming down.  Best snowfall I’ve seen in a decade here.

Starting the day at 17 below zero. Temps considered so dangy that many schools are either closed or starting late. Tomorrow we my get above zero for first time in several days.

Good news is warmer by the weekend with maybe temps in low 30s.

7° here.  Three inches of snow, and ERCOT is implementing rolling brownouts.  We’ve had power turned off for an hour twice.  Charging my phone while I can!

Must be quite the experience for Texans, seeing snow and enduring temps that cold.

I remember reporting to Fort Jackson, South Carolina in January 1966. Three days after I got there the state had first snow since 1800s. Whole state shut down, as no one knew how to drive on snow.

Most of us reporting for training were from Iowa and Minnesota. We were amused at the problems a few inches of white stuff made to that southern state.

14 degrees here today.   9 wind chill.

I'm very nipply after shoveling snow for almost 2 hours. Dan offered to use the snow blower but I wanted more exercise than that. When we were done with ours, he wasn't terribly happy when I noticed the elderly neighbors hadn't had their drive and walks cleaned and decided to do it.

It has snowed ever day since February 2 here. Tonight we have blizzard conditions  that will dump another ten inches of snow on top of the two feet of snow already on the ground. At least above freezing temperatures are forecasted for Sunday.

Stay safe all my Texas friends. Single digit temps and snow. Ugh

As a resident of a northern tier state, please accept my deepest appoligizes that we were unable to keep our winter weather under control.

Sometimes even the goodest dog slips his collar and goes astray. After over a week of below zero temperatures few of us were going outside. When winter realized we weren't watching close...well, away he went.

Again, sorry about winter. He's normally happy to stay up here in the north country where people have shovels, snow blowers, snowmobiles, skis and other winter recreational equipment.
Hope you at least made a snowman. :emot_laughing:
