Currently 9°f and feels like -2°f. But like msslave said. Heat wave coming through and it should be a smoldering 28° by mid day.

Right now it's 18 with a wind chill factor of zero.

Tomorrow morning at sunrise it will be 8.

I think I'll skip my usual Saturday morning run...

I keep hearing you're gonna be getting one of the arctic blasts soon. Hope it doesn't get too much colder than that.

Been a hell of a winter this time around!

Yesterday here in central MN, it was -18° at 6am and got to a blistering 0°. Today we get some global warming and rise to 32°.  ;D

We don't complain about the temps much up here because it's the norm this time of year.

Wait!! :emot_weird: There's someone else in Minnesota. Hi neighbor.
I've seen you post occasionally never knew you were.close by. Nice to know there's another " Norski".on here.

Now back to our topic. We've had a week of single digits weather that was bone chilling... for this old fart anyway.
We did venture out last night for our weekly get together with friends. I used to be able to shrug off bad weather and take it with na grain of salt. No more, I'm piling on blankets and finding something to binge.

Oh, we do have a week of.highs in the 30s. :D It's been a real roller coaster winter.

70 degrees, cloudy, 25 mph winds.  Not a god morning.  Not going outside anytime soon so I'm thankful we rented a house for a week instead of a hotel room.

Love the quiet of a snow morning.  Probably the only thing about Minnesota I will ever confess to missing.  No cars on the roads, and a blanket on the ground that muffles all sounds.  Kids and the dog fast asleep, and dad having first cup of coffee...

I shrug off the cold except for the state of the roads in my small town. Everything is packed and it's like driving on a friggin' washboard. State roads are good. County roads are grade above city streets on being crap.

Oh, how I wish I had seen this offer 6 hours ago. I slept on the couch, the bedroom in this rental has temperature issues.

For the last few days the media has been pounding away about the big snow storms heading out was.

First wave was to be last night with bsix to nine inches. We woke this morning to about three inches. For a state "up north" that's like meh.

Tonight the big wave is to hit. Maybe over a foot of snow. Snow emergencies have been declared in both Minneapolis and St. Paul. We've already gone past our average snowfall amount for the year. Another foot will set a new record, to say the least.

We're stocked up on plenty of food and have lots of TV shows to watch. Hunker down are the words of the day.

Take care Bob. And Shiela too, as that storm is supposed to cover all of Wisconsin and part of northern Illinois. We may far enough south that it will just be rain, two inches of rain they are predicting.

This storm is getting lots of attention. The Governor has the National Guard on alert. Hundreds of snow plows are working 24 hours. Many of the states's plows have names BTW. Each year the highway department has a contest to name some of the plows.y favorite was a salute to former singer from Minneapolis, Lizzo. There's now a snow plow on the road ned Blizzo. :D

One big change due to Covid...noore snow days for kids. Now they just go back to remote learning.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to this shit. I manage an apartment complex and have to notify all tenants to park in the designated areas during heavy snowfall. Otherwise, they get their vehicle towed. On top of that, I have to dig my way out of my own place and then go do it again at the complex.  :emot_rotf:

I'm 2½ hours from MSP, so we're not supposed to get what they're getting, but it'll be bad enough.

It's been several years since I've seen this city hunker down for a snow storm. Lots of businesses are closing early and are reserving the option to open late tomorrow depending on weather.  Covid is letting kids do remote learning, taking away the old snow days. Bus lines are going to run on holiday schedule and that too can change. Already a few hundred flights have been cancelled. No travel is advised.

All this before the main storm has hit. Snow is expected to fall at the rate of an inch per hour with double digit total. Add to that high winds with gusts up to 30 mph, making visibility bad.

Will this keep people home? A lot, but there will still be enough idiots that will go out and some will need help when they get in trouble. To help law enforcement, the National Guard is on alert.

That's the weather. Sports is next after these commercials. :D

Well, the overnight low was the coldest we have seen in La Paz since last "winter". Got down to 9C. But, it wasn't overly warm yesterday and with clear skies, any heat we had just up and went away.

But, it is the beginning of March and things are starting to warm up.

That is all.

Well we survived Icepocalypse in February, then on Thursday we were told to expect severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, and high winds gusts of 75 miles an hour.

Of course, in Austin, everybody panicked, phoned in sick, and took a three day weekend.

We got a little rain, but that was about it. I did see some photos up north of more serious damage. But this really wasn’t anything too lose sleep over.

Sunny and 79° today (27° C).

Sunny and 79 degrees in Marathon, Florida.
Going to Key West today.  82 and partly sunny.  Hoping to enjoy the sunset celebration, dependent on how I feel.  We are going to Irish Kevin's, a must for me.

While Jules is playing in the sun down in the Keys we woke up to another 3-4 inches of snow. It's the wet and heavy kind, leaving the roads slick. Glad I'm staying home today.

According to the weather guy on TV, last night's snow has pushed us into the 13th snowiest winter ever recorded.

My neighbors have been out there after each storm clearing the walks and driveway. I'll need to find a way to treat them for all they've done. Maybe dinner out somewhere nice.

Sorry to hear that.  I keep getting Venmo requests from the neighbor boy shoveling the snow.  Seems like every other day.

Well the Keys are just miserable.  84 and sunny, and a bit humid. ;)
But we are going to Fort Lauderdale for a few days, into the land of the uber rich.  A friend of Dan's and his c*nt wife.  Weather is to be in the 80's and sunny, but with her there, it will be chilly.  Suppose to be there 3 days before returning to our campground in Marathon, but I don't know if I will be able to stomach her that long.
