So great when you can make your own weather.  :emot_laughing: :emot_kiss:

Been a bit humid south of the border all day. Makes for an interesting day with the dogs

We had our first decent rain in months last night. I didn't see any totals, but it rained most of the night starting around 5:30. Still' coming down at 11:00.when I went to bed. Wife who doesn't sleep that well says she heard it on and off all night.

Much needed, but too late to do anything for our farmers. They're looking at much lower crop yields. My lawn has been brown since end of June. Weeds did thrive and give us some green.

Bad news: right after storm started our power went out. I never heard any thunder so don't know if it was lightning. That wasn't so bad. Guess the outage seriously fried some of the equipment for our ISP. No Internet, TV or my wife's phone. My cellphone kept me connected.  Service finally restored at 10:30 this mornin.

Glad you got service restored.

Windy today.  Not terribly, but enough to notice the trees blowing without going out.   And the last thing I remember dreaming about this morning is Dan driving the RV and there was a tornado.  And it was just about to catch us when I woke up.

Hopefully just l light winds today.

All over Texas last night. Lots of destruction.

That's a real roof wrecker, not to mention cars and any thing else outside.

We had a hail storm a month ago. Did some damage but not too bad.

True horror was the damn so called roof repair salespeople. Some may be legit but most scam artists.
I was getting the mail a couple days ago when one started up my sidewalk. I looked at him and said, "Lord, you people are like a plague of locust."

He chuckled then tried to launch into his pitch. I shut the door on him and he continued to the next house.

I politely told one to go fuck himself, and he ended up trying to “help“ me close the screen door. Instead, he bent the whole spring loading hinge. Totally fucked up the screen door for eternity. It never worked again properly. Thought about how much I hated him every time I had to lift the door and pull it in firmly until it clicked.

Should’ve sent him a bill for repair or replacement, but of course, I had refused to accept his sales brochure.

It was 68 when I went outside for a morning jog, and I dressed for that temp. However, I was not prepared for the amount of humidity I'd walk out into. It was muggy as a summer's day. Went back inside and dressed down.

We had about 1.5” of rain overnight. Woke up at 4 am with thunder and lightning. High today estimated to be on 82°, which is sweater weather in Texas.

Rain coming today.  Overcast now.  Going to cut the grass before it rains.
Yesterday was 82.  Sat outside with a bathing suit top on with the straps pulled down.  Not sweater weather.

84 yesterday again. I didn't do any sunbathing because it was windy and leaves are coming off of trees, would have been annoying brushing them off contantly.

sweater weather in Texas.

It's almost that wonderful time of year!!

Most of our summer was in the 110° neighborhood. So 80° feels positively cool.

A check on when our first frost can be expected on average...Oct. 11 (Arrrg that was today) to the 20th. So any day now is he frost will be on the pumpkin.

My brother woke up to 38° also and sent me a message. Those are frigid temperatures for a Houston boy. Sorry about the Twins loss. Looks like my Rangers will play his Astros in the ALCS. Goody. A week of drunken rambling text messages from him in store.

Dan watched a documentary recently on Nolan Ryan. I found it fascinating.  Maybe the only Ranger I can think of.

Should be a fun week in Texas.

Go JV, go Houston.  You might get drunken messagfrom me too.

45° this morning. That’s considered cold in Texas. Chilliest morning since March. Turned the furnace on. Don’t think it ran, but I am ready.

That's cold here too.  Too me at least.  That's what the temp was this morning.   52 degrees now.   #FTS
