80’s all week here also. May climb into the low 90’s by week’s end.

Low 60s yesterday. 50s in the morning. Currently 56°f. Heated seats were used on my way to get coffee with Ben.

There is a tropical storm, soon to be a hurricane, headed for Beaumont.

Francine is huge. About 1300 miles across, From Mexico City to Miami. New Orleans to Nicaragua.

If this lady gets organized over the Gulr, look out.

No rain here for three weeks. Add much warmer than normal temperatures and the trees have begun shedding their leaves earlier than normal.

We. Weeks since we saw rain. They are saying we might get some tomorrow now.
I’ve been able to enjoy many bonfires with the dry warmer weather.

That sounds wonderful Eric. I want one more bonfire before the winter chases us all inside. I will ask Dan to grant my wish.  I know he will. And a marshmallow or two. It has been too long. Something to look forward to.

I'm getting rain right now. It has been unreasonable warm and I was loving it. It's quickly coming to an end next week. Supposed be low mid 60s.

Our first chance of rain will be Sunday, along with more seasonal temperatures.  Our lawn went from green to brown overnight.

They said rain this evening but it never did. We have plans for tomorrow night so I’m sitting at the fire listening to a podcast, smoking a cigar and drinking a seltzer

Our lawn went brown in early June. It'll be green again sometime in October.

Last year my neighbor painted it green in August to match his. This year he was laid up in the hospital most of the summer so we didn't bother ordering the paint (close to $100 for a gallon). Here's what it looked like.

The brown in the foreground is what the whole lawn looked like before it was painted. No water was necessary. Well, except to dilute the paint. (The tree sort of visible on the right edge was taken out earlier this summer, which actually has nothing to do with anything ;D.)

We had some decent ra8n come through in the evening on Friday I believe, and now there has been scatter3d storms throughout the state. It is weird, I'll hear thunder, and it'll be somewhat sunny, and then no thunder, and some heavy rain.

After tomorrow, it'll be autumn weather. Mid 60s. Winter held on into spring late, and it seemed to jump straight into summer, and now summer is late leaving. But climate change doesn't exist....

Our first rain in over three weeks. No temperatures above 80 forecasted for the entire week. Looks like Fall is here.

Fall fell up here too.

I want next door last evening to deliver a condolence card. The neighbors who help us so much lost the dad for one of them. (He was 94!)

Lots of family and I was welcomed to join them. After temps in the 80s all day we could feel the weather change. Was down to 54 degrees this morning. Big change.

It has been a weird weather cycle this year. Winter held on and then it was a week of rain and spring, and then straight into summer, and now summer is hanging on by fingernails. Not gonna complain too much as I'm enjoying these temps, but it isn't normal for my neck of the woods.  It's been like 3 weeks of above average weather... I'd be worried, but I guess climate change is a hoax, so no big deal.🙄

Second summer comes after fake fall in Texas. Clear, sunny, temperatures in the low 90°s the next ten days.

I grew up in an arid climate, but I went to college in Southeast Texas. I got a nasty sinus infection because of the old and moldy AC unit in my dorm room. When I returned to the arid climate I was miserable because of my sinuses. Then I returned to southeast Texas with it's humidity and all is well. However, the past few days, with dry air, I am miserable again.

Windy today which has cooled things off. Stand outside in the sun, and it's quite warm, walk around the corner and the wind drops the temp 20°

Had a couple crisp fall like days now back to 80s. One of our weather guys says a couple more weeks of 70-80 degree weather. He called it Aug-tober

Lamar University? You’ve mentioned Beaumont before. I have a passel of former-in-laws down there. Most of whom went to Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School and then Lamar.
