Still enjoying a January thaw with temps in the low 40s last couple of days and expected again today.  First of February is predicted to get back to "normal" with temps back down in the teens.  I hope anyone in the storm area is staying safe and warm.

Watcher, on the other hand, went out side and stayed too long.  Now he needs a "thaw job".



So....any of the board females feel like volunteering to help out by
snuggling up with him! :emot_laughing:

You also sound like a lot of New Yorkers, who believe the world ceases to exist once you cross the Hudson, East, or Harlem River.

Newsflash! Most of the Northeast got HAMMERED by the storm. Eastern Long Island received over 20" of snow, and snowfall totals and blizzard conditions were comparable in CT, RI, MA, NH, and ME.

I suppose you COULD blame Governor Cuomo and Mayor De Blasio for the fact that the storm veered to the Northeast at the last moment, but -- "as usual, and EXPECTED" -- you chose to blame science instead.

So, a NorEaster came in January, and it snowed in New England...

Why was the NYC Subway shut down for the first time in history?

Why did NYC give up the commerce from over 6000 scheduled flights, and the Limos, Taxi's, Rental Cars, and Hotel Rooms for all those folks, and cause changes for nearly every flier East of the Mississippi by a shut down of all traffic, on the hunch of basically one guy, who happend to be the outlier opinion two years ago for Hurricane Sandy?

Liberals can err on the side of science, no matter how dumb they look, and all is OK, no one cares, no price to pay. No commerce in NYC, no Pizza Delivery? Schools closed, no Tolls, no income, no problem...
