The governor of Texas just rescinded his mandatory mask policy. Guess he thinks the pandemic is over .  The CDC is now saying even after one gets their vaccine shots, they should wear a mask and social distance.

Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds.

The American Rescue Plan Act passed the Senate today, and every single Republican voted against it. Every last one. They voted against unemployment relief for Americans, voted against stimulus checks, voted against money for the vaccine roll out, and voted against money for schools to safely reopen. They are anarchists.  Do not forget this.

And the very next day, Governor Abbott had the audacity to claim that illegal immigrants crossing into Texas are spreading Covid. Well what is it, you sorry sack of shit? Are we safe for a roll out? Or are illegal immigrants going to kill us all? You can’t have it both ways. Either it is safe to go without a mask or it’s not. You are such a disgusting excuse of a pathetic human being. I honestly would love for them to re-initiate public hangings, if only for you.

Somehow I had hopes the Republicans would start to return to some sort of sanity with the departure of Trump.  Alas no! Arizona idiots have gotten hold of the ballots out there and are doing their own secret count. I'm sure that with be unbiased.

Liz Cheney offers some sensible remarks and doesn't buy into Trump's continuing lies. That is getting her stabbed in the back, front and sides by her fellow party members.

They also had to have all the black and blue pens removed by state officials.  They are only allowed to have red pens because that way they can't add votes to who they want elected.

Alabama Will Now Allow Yoga In Its Public Schools (But Students Can't Say 'Namaste')

Bill Chappell
May 21, 202111:04 AM ET

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey has signed a bill to allow public schools to offer yoga, ending a ban that stood for nearly 30 years. Christian conservatives who back the ban said yoga would open the door for people to be converted to Hinduism.

The new law allows yoga to be offered as an elective for grades K-12. While it erases a ban that, over the years, some schools had not realized existed, it also imposes restrictions on how yoga should be taught. Students won't be allowed to say, "Namaste," for instance. Meditation is not allowed.

"Chanting, mantras, mudras, use of mandalas, induction of hypnotic states, guided imagery, and namaste greetings shall be expressly prohibited," the bill states. It also requires English names be used for all poses and exercises. And before any students try a tree pose, they'll need a parent's permission slip.

Alabama adopted its yoga ban in schools in 1993 — one of many fronts in the culture wars in the United States. And it was a fight to undo the ban: State Rep. Jeremy Gray, a Democrat, first introduced a bill to revoke the yoga taboo more than a year ago. His new bill got final approval Monday — the last day of the legislative session.

This does not surprise me about parts of America, you would not think that it is 2021 and we have access to all most all of the knowledge in human history.  The same people ban Harry Potter as they believe it promotes witchcraft.

Fear is formed from ignorance. Schools are the place to show students how others, different from themselves, act and are contributing members of society. The trouble comes when special interest groups with political leverage, force upon the schools their brand of thinking, whether liberal or conservative.

Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds.

The best lesson I learnt was from my English teacher,  who told us all that everything we read, every program or song we watch and listen to are all written from a political view point.  This does not have to be an overt message, but the author's political view point shapes the media.

Also your own political and social view point shapes how you in turn interpret the media.

So, what is the political view point of the song Faithfully by Journey? All these years, I thought it was a love song.

You'd probably have to ask her english teacher that gave her that advice, love.

Search back to December 24, 1865 when a bunch of democrats founded the kkk.  In their entire history, the kkk killed more people because they were Republicans than because they were black.

Why do they put all those Planned Parenthood clinics in black neighborhoods?
