A woman is claiming she now has PTSD from being harassed on Twitter.

This is something she said went on for two years.  So, why didn't she just get off Twitter.  Is it that addicting? 

I did see a ray of hope this afternoon.  A young lady walked past our house and was NOT concentrating on her phone.  Instead, she was reading an actual book, made out of paper!  OK, she still wasn't aware of what was going on around her, but it was low tech.

LOL....Then I'm super "low tech".
There is no place for cell phones around horses.
Handling a horse takes your full attention.
And as for "gasp" paper books........Any time, any day, all day.......the electronic books and I don't get along.

She needs to get off Twitter and into the real world and visit some veteran support groups or rape victim groups. You know, people who had to endure trauma without being able to stop it with a simple click of the mouse.

I've never personally had time for Twitter I hardly use Facebook. Twitter is great from a marketing point of view getting your website seen or selling a product.

As for the topic in question, you are responsible for your own internet use, she should have just left.

The Daily Mail is an ultra conservative and reactionary rag, they make Fox look honest and truthful. They have had it in for the internet for years, any 'story' that might highlight the 'dangers' of the internet will find it's way onto their spittal. They had it in for video and before that TV and before that radio, they were all dangerous to our young people, leading them astray, but Hitler was a good guy.

Some people have their whole ego and self esteem tied to their internet persona. Their whole world is so wrapped around "winning" on the internet that they allow it to affect their daily lives. It's both funny and sad at the same time

The funniest thing that ever happened to me online was that some guy lost it on me and started challenging me to a fist fight (I honestly can't remember why). He actually posted his home address and challenged me to fly down there and fight him so I could prove I wasn't a "pussy". I normally don't make a habit of trolling people, but I had so much fun with this guy. I teased him about being an internet "tough guy" and he went ballistic, demanding I go there, so he can show me what a pussy I am. It was great for a few laughs.
