My 3 year old nephew, as he was in car seat leaving my home, waving and he said, "Good-bye friend."  Melted my heart.   :D

I agree.  No matter how frustrated we become after watching our two youngest grandchildren for an entire day, when we strap them into their car seats and the oldest one looks up and says, I love you, all the earlier frustrations just melt away.  Precious moments to remember.

Isn't that the truth. My 2 grandsons are 4 hours flying time from me. I wish the resources were available to see them more often. On the bright side, they arrive here in 2 weeks to spend almost 2 weeks with us. We are taking them to the Okanagan for what should be an adventure for them. My wife and have have been there three times in the past year.

Take them to The Calgary Stampede. They can have the time of their lives.
I won't be there this year (no horses for the stampede).

My sister was a big sewer.   She had an embroidery machine and I've been trying to figure out how to use it for a few months.     The software on an old PC writes to a card that then goes into a 15 year old embroidery machine.     Well, I was speaking with a neighbor yesterday and was telling him about it.    His mother is a big sewer and embroiderer.   She came over today and helped me.   I finally know how to use it.   Very cool.   VERY HAPPY.   Now just need some new designs.   His mom said she has a bunch to copy to the computer.  Lots of new fonts and a few cool logos (Nike & Polo).

Watched some of the Stampede events on TV yesterday. It was a mud fest. You knew who the steer wrestlers were -- they're the ones that were clean on their left side and mud caked on their right. You also knew who got bucked off without having to ask.

FWIW, I cheer for the bulls at rodeos.

Took the kids to the park for a special event. Sadly, this will be the last time for the foreseeable future. 95-108 heat for the long range forecast. Summer will not die.

I also woke up with my wife's hand between my legs  :D

Two things....

1. An email from a friend.   

2.  My niece called me a few minutes ago and was beyond excited.   She caught a Pikachu (Yes, Pokemon Go).   The excitement in her voice was unbelievable.

Finally!!!!!

The pool refurb is progressing. After having to take the plaster off (wrong color was put on) the pool has been replastered and is now filling up!

It should be filled sometime tomorrow.

That is good news.    Happy for you.   I love the pool.   I was without one for 6 years at my last place.   So happy to have one right outside the backdoor again.
