3 things.

A good nights sleep.   Almost 9 hours.  It has been so long.

The middle one stayed the night because her mom went to visit a relative out of state.   She and I are really bonding lately.  She's opening up to me.  I've never been the evil step mother.   She just hasn't let me in.  I'm so happy.  She's a great kid.
She is with us through Tuesday.

A three way.   hahaha no not that kind.    A three way email communication between myself and two friends.  Nothing major, just chit chat.   For someone that can't use a phone, and email is my main form of communication (other than face to face), it just makes me smile.

Thank you for the previous three comments. 

I have another Made My Day moment today.

It happens often, but I really noticed twice today.   It's when Dan gets a huge smile on his face.  A true genuine smile.  One that makes his crow's feet and left cheek dimple pop.  Whether it be a smile of pride, or one of happiness because of something one of the kids or I did, or even when he laughs and in it's wake that smile remains.   I see it often and it is just so warming to my heart and sends a surge of happiness through me.   I love his infectious smile.

Then Texas bearing Purdue in basketball.  2-0 now.

That is a nice feeling isn’t it Jules.  My Peruvian and I sometimes can’t contain our laughter when we look at each other.  We’ll try and keep a straight face, especially those times she’s pretending to be mad at me, then I make a face and she loses it.  Same when I try and be serious, just ends of with laughter from both of us.

My son called and asked if he can come home.  I thought he’d last 8 weeks.  My wife said four.  He made it 1.5.  He woke up in a freezing house.  The electricity was turned off, because his roommate took money for the bill and spent it on something else.  I told him I’ll make him some soup when he gets here.
