Went to the grocery for some deli chicken for our dinner today. I saw construction equipment on the site where our local gas station was destroyed in the riots last June.

I shot this just as firemen(people) were finishing up last June.
Been waiting for a sign that they'd rebuild and looks like it's finally happening.

BTW...The grocery store was packed! I thought I'd have the place to myself with the holiday. Nope, pretty much like a regular day. Hope that's a sign many people didn't gather with family. I did notice most of the orders in the check out line were small.

My grandpa and little brother were like "too many girls here" and I agreed so the three of us took the dog to the park and joined everyone else escaping their homes.  :emot_laughing:

Put up all the outdoor Christmas lights since the weather was mild and dry. 8)

Our tree went up today with my grandpas help before they leave tomorrow.

I may have fallen, but my neighbor who fell off his ladder putting up lights is out there right now trying to do it again.  They guy who lives in the house next to him is helping out.

His wife is yelling that if he "tries to climb that damn ladder again, she'll shoot him so he doesn't fall and hurt himself again"

#8 Dingle.  One of my favorite places in the whole world.  It will always hold a special place in my heart.   A lot of the other locations on the list we visited also.  I can't wait to go back.

Totally agree MJ.  I have stayed in a B&B on the Dingle peninsula that offered a splash of Drambuie on your porridge and whole Dover sole for breakfast.  ;D

Also have relations from Adare (#5).

I made lasagna twice recently, the first with an Italian sausage Bolognese and tomato sauce and the second with spinach and a Bechamel cheese sauce.  They both were really good.

I suppose I could have said sauce Mornay, but not sure most would know that’s Bechamel with cheese.  Toe might have known.  I also recently made a Mornay sauce when I made mac & cheese for Thanksgiving.  My mac & cheese never really worked until I figured out to make a Mornay sauce.  I have a request to make it again for Christmas.  One 5 year old girl was particularly insistent.  Chirp is probably very familiar with such insistence.
