I don't know if he made the right decision or not, since the story may be filtering certain facts, but I am surprised.

While you're waiting in vain for that apology, why don't you make yourself useful by getting on your knees and opening your mouth

There could always be another memorial service done for Leonard that William can do for him with him putting it on with his and Leonard's other friends who may also were not able to attend. Not everyone can make it to someone's funeral, does that make them a bad person? No, but these are celebrities and they will get crucified fugitively by the media and fans because they love to spread hateful gossip about them. When Heath Ledger died they did two memorials for him one here in the US and the other in Perth, Australia. William and Leonard were friends to the very end I am sure Leonard's Family will understand.

I think Shatner got caught between a rock and a hard place.
Damned if you do, and damned if you don't.
He made the commitment to the Red Cross a month before the death of Nimoy and he kept that commitment (bitter as it was). I'm sure he will visit the grave of his friend as soon as he can (if he doesn't he's a complete money grubbing ass). But at least his daughter's managed to make it to the funeral.

Love,
Liz

Okay, a side line question.??
Of the Star Trek Crew (original series, mind you) who is left? I think this list is correct..
Dr. McCoy is dead
Scotty is dead
Mr. Spock is dead
Kirk is alive
Sulu is alive
Chekov is alive
Nurse Chapel (Roddenbury's Wife) I think is still alive
Uhura is alive
I wonder how many of the secondary cast is still alive...?
Did I miss anybody...?

Love,
Liz
