Inducing Lactation

"The technique for inducing lactation without being pregnant is exceptionally simple: physically stimulate the nipple and areola, and the body will respond by making milk! Forget about milk inducing drugs and exotic techniques: all it takes is stimulation!

"The best and most reliable way to induce lactation is to dry breast feed your nursing partner for 20 minutes, eight times each day. Don't let your partner suck just on the nipple; make sure he or she is latched on in the same manner as a nursing infant would latch onto it's mother's breast. In the beginning, even without milk, relax and breast feed your partner, just as you would as if you breasts were full of milk. In time, your body will respond to the suckling by producing milk.

"If your schedule won't permit eight nursing sessions each day; reduce the number of sessions to what you can comfortably handle. Women have successfully induced lactation with as little as two breast feeding sessions each day; however, the sessions do need to be at least 20 minutes long. Keeping in mind: the closer to eight nursing sessions each day you are able to have, the better the results will be.

"If you do not have a willing or reliable nursing partner, you may substitute suckling with hand massage of the breast, and finger stimulation of the nipple and areola. You may use a breast pump if you wish; however, hand expression will work just as well. Eight, 20 minute stimulation sessions each day is still optimum for inducing lactation, even without a reliable nursing partner. If your schedule will not permit eight sessions each day, you may reduce the number of sessions to what you can comfortably handle. But again, the closer to eight nursing sessions each day you are able to have, the better the results will be."

Will this work with a postmenopausal woman?

Will this work with a postmenopausal woman?

"Once past puberty: as long as a woman's mammary glands are healthy and have not been altered or surgically removed, a woman's breasts are completely capable of producing milk! This is true for women who have never been pregnant, women who have gone through menopause, and even women who have had a hysterectomy. The presence of a uterus, and/or ovaries, is not required for a woman to lactate: the only thing that is required is healthy breasts and a desire to lactate."

I've heard that some men have been able to lactate using this method also.

2 things: 20 minutes x 8 times a day - not possible for working women :-(, and what negative side effects will be there because of induced lactation?

Doesn't need to be that many sessions or that long each session [don't ask me how I know ,haha]
As for negative side effects ................hmmm let me think,........... Firm bouncy ,pillow like breasts , super stiff and sexily sore nipples , that poke through my blouse at all times.
Nope can't think of any negatives ,lol

Also weight loss may be a side effect as the hormone of lactation I believe causes that, and so does producing milk, though I am not a doctor and it was long ago since I read that, so I may in fact be utterly wrong.

Oh and it also could deplete calcium if you don't get enough of that, and other resources that go into milk production.

wait

hold up.

I thought we mammals required a certain sex hormone i.e. the one that kicks starts pregnancy to be present to induce lactation. Also human milk wildly varies from woman to woman, like it was said, based on diet, stress levels, and health condition. Not going to lie, but lactation doesnt really do it for me. I mean humans are the only animals to consume milk after infancy. I mean it can be sexy, but what is the point. Like men lactating, in rare cases men can lactate too. But still good to know i guess, but I would rather avoid the wife's anger about being treated like a cow. I tasted my wife's before, kind of tastes like slightly sweet heavy cream before it becomes whipped cream. But to each their own.

My experience is that hormones can be triggered by fooling the brain.
When I was breastfeeding my two daughters we had a girl staying with us.
She was in her late teens and had never been pregnant.
Curious about what it felt like to breast feed  Chloe asked if we could put a baby on to her nipple just to see.
I agreed and of course baby latched on ,sucking furiously trying to get mother's milk.
This became a regular thing , in as much as I would feed and then before they were completely done I would pass them over to Chloe for her pleasure. My daughters would suckle and then gradually fall asleep , very calm and relaxing for all of us.

After less than a month Chloe started producing her own milk ,not much at first but a steadily increasing flow.
Her breasts grew plump and round and she became a fully lactating "mother".

My theory is that nature/survival of the species takes over , if a child ,any child, needs nourishment a female will be able to provide it whether she is a mum or not.

Anyway there it is , Chloe BTW loved her big bouncy boobs, lol.

Also , after I stopped feeding my little ones I continued to "express" my milk  [ I liked the fact that at last I had breasts as I was totally flat before ] and doing so kept my boobs "full" and firm .
I didn't have to express much just a few mins in the shower everyday kept them "topped up".
If I had an occaison that required "big and bouncy" or a revealing outfit I would hold off  a couple of days before the event and they would swell almost a cup size larger.
Even today [at 67] if you play long enough with my nipples I will get that feeling of "uhoh here comes dinner" ,it doesn't arrive of course.
Oh and if I hear a baby cry my nipples tingle .
Females are always females I guess :emot_kiss:

Moderator politely reminds everyone that no real life under aged discussion is allowed, including infants and children breast-feeding.

That was actually an observed behavior among primates and other social animals. A herd of elephants with at least one or more lactating mothers will over time induce the other females into lactation, as you said its for survival. But the young will always prefer its own mothers milk. Gorillas will pass their baby around if the mother is hungry or needing rest, to allow baby not human, but gorillas to attain nourishment. And dont get me started on bonobo's. But my point is human women, like cows, gorillas, elephants, need the trigger, like chickens with a rooster. I treat this like the pineapple theory, it can happen, but im not doing it again. (people do not realize, most acidic drinks will wonk out your ph balance, and you may get some bad uti's as a dude if you constantly pound down pineapple juice to make your semen sweeter.)

I suggest that if you want even more information on inducing lactation and adult breastfeeding/nursing relationships, you can also check out the following websites:
  • The Lactation Wiki - provides detailed instructions on how to induce lactation using various methods such as hand expression, breast pumps and nipple stimulation.
  • ANRHouston - If you live in the Houston area, this site may be helpful for finding support or events related to inducing lactation or adult nursing relationships.
  • DreamsOfMilk - provides a wealth of information on topics related to establishing and maintaining a healthy ANR.

I hope this helps and best of luck in your inducing journey.
