Will have to give the idea for this thread to Toe.

So just off the top of my head.  Adolf Hitler would somehow meet with a tragic accident in his youth and never come to power.  Not sure what exactly if anything that would actually change but it would be worth a try.

I knew a girl in the '90s and she had a problem I didn't know about. She was very skinny and once we were at the Mall she didn't want to eat anything.
Well many years later I found out she was dying, part of the problem had something to do with a leg condition.
A few more years later after she did pass away I found out from her sister she never would eat and it was the underlying cause of her developing her unreversable health problems and dying so young. By that time I had a much better understanding about Health & Nutrition and I wish I had when she and I were still hanging around.
If I could go back in time, i'd find some way to make her understand that she was slowly killing herself and she needed to make some immediate changes in her life. She left behind two young children, making it an even bigger tragedy.

Broken Enigma earlier, perhaps. I mean if I could change anything, I would have removed the Leninist/communist/Stalinists from power at that time so that millions more would have lived. Not sure what single thing could have been done to accomplish that, however.

Actually.... Give the USA nuclear bomb technology earlier. That should have stopped all the craziness of WWII

I would go back and warn General George S. Patton about his auto accident in Germany, that caused him to have a compression fracture and a dislocation of the cervical third and fourth vertebrae, resulting in a broken neck and cervical spinal cord injury, that rendered him paralyzed from the neck down that occurred on December 9, 1945.

He never wanted to be President, he wanted to fight. He begged for a Commanding position during the Pacific Theater of Operations but was denied. He made some public appearances in the US until he pissed off Eisenhower with comments he made, so he was demoted down to commanding the 15th Army until his accident happened in Germany. Patton was made for War not Politics. He felt useless without Commanding an Army into Battle.

I have no idea where I would go, or what I would change. But it was certainly interesting reading some of your ideas.  ;D
