“I think the president’s disappointed that we weren’t able to do anything on the overall repeal-replace with Obamacare and so I think again, that it was just an immediate reaction to something that he heard and I don’t put any stock, necessarily, in that,” Ernst said in a phone interview on Friday. “I want to see what the actions are.”

For an Iowa Republican senator to say she puts little stock in the president’s words is rather extraordinary. Ernst’s comments sound like effusive praise, however, compared with the scathing comments from Republican Sen. Bob Corker of Tennessee.  Corker, who has announced he won’t run for re-election, called the White House and “adult day care center” after Trump criticized him on Twitter.

  Vice President Pence was scheduled to fly to Indianapolis, for the football game, and then on to Los Angeles for whatever political even was scheduled.

Weeks ahead of time, Secret Service advance team in place in Indianapolis, a fully scheduled event.

  When LasVegas happened, the VP's schedule was rearranged, thus the odd route, so as to accomplish the scheduled events, not disappoint Indianapolis folks who were expecting him.

Stuff happens.

Joan, explain why the press that were following him we’re told to wait  in their vehicles  because they would not be there very long.

Has anyone else ever noticed that Trump’s facial and body postures imitate Mussilini’s? It’s the same arrogant, bravado posturing.

Awhile ago I posted that the POTUS has no First Ameneentbrights as a private citizen since when he speaks, he speaks for the government, at ALL times.

Today it seems that I am being vindicated by Rush Limbaugh and Nebraska Republican Senator Ben Sasse. Trump posted a tweet suggesting that NBC’s broadcast license be summarily removed because Trump doesn’t like what they have said.

This is an indication that Trump has recanted his oath of office. We have a Third-world dictator as POTUS.

It is time for his cabinet to adhere to their oaths of office and exercise the 25th Amendment.

From all indications the President's staff are tired of providing an adult day care center for Trump.  After all, they have work to do running the country.  So the 25th Amendment might be brought into play.

I believe Corker may be right, and it is certain members of his staff that are all that stand between us and WWIII.

His "calm before the storm" comment indicates where Trump would like to go. He is certainly contemplating some kind of massive military action.  He also wants to increase our nuclear stockpile 10 fold.  That's why Tillerson called him a fucking moron.

Meanwhile in Puerto Rico people are starting to die from lack of potable water, and Trump is saying it's time to withdraw federal aid in a series of tweets.

Trump also made reference of Puerto Rico's debt.

Let me make it clear, Puerto Rico (PR) has enormous debt, but the blame lies with Congress, not the island's inhabitants.  In 2006, congress allowed the expiration of the section 936 (to offset tax cuts on the mainland) that allowed manufacturing to move there and operate tax free of Federal Taxes.  PR used to be Pharmaceutical manufacturing central, but no more.  All the people they used to employ are now without jobs. 45% of the population now lives in poverty. 80,000 people a year migrate to the Unites States to pursue economic opportunities.

PR provided the infrastructure for manufacturing to be possible, and were stuck holding the bag when section 936 expired.  On top of this the Jones Act makes it difficult to pursue foreign investment options. 

Other states and territories have the option of  seeking chapter 9 bankruptcy protections, but not Puerto Rico, because of an amendment attached to a bill in 1984 by Strom Thurmond.

And then there are the triple exempt tax free bonds congress authorized for Puerto Rico, which made selling bonds the best way for PR to survive.

So yes, Congress now gets to deal with the problem they created.

  Those hoping for some miracle cure, some magic action that will put Hillary back on top, are wasting their own time, and all of our time; need to move on.

  Donald J. Trump was elected President of the United States, and will remain our President through the end of his term, likely through January 2025.

  The fact that his objective requires some messy headlines, dealing with both Republicans who should know better, and have lost their way... and Democrats who are unaccountable to anyone, certainly not to their own constituents, or to the Law (similar to Black Lives Matter, who claim no accountability), and so are carping about all manner of things, and they should, as all manner of things need to be fixed, and are being addressed now, or will be shortly.

  Style of this President notwithstanding, change is on the way. Get used to it.

I did not get it from NBC.  It was taken from numerous sources and from Trump's own words which indicated he is planning for war.

And show me where this has been debunked.
