Trolling?

Making the point that should be very obvious to every thinking person, being that many cases of seasonal Flu, went unreported and/or were reported a "Covid related" due to guaranteed reimbursement by Uncle Sam to any Hospital that attached, by hook or by crook, the "covid related" tag to virtually any care for which the facility sought remuneration of a far higher amount than was ever 'guaranteed' for the treatment provided under 'usual' circumstances, pre-covid politics influence.

Bodies with bullets in them, tagged as 'covid related' because a morgue test on the corpse registered as positive... bingo... the magic diagnosis... murder, covid related...

Same for Influenza, the usual type that happens annually or more often, takes lots of lives... not this year, any that dies of influenza (old style) now are tagged to get the big bucks as Covid related... legal? meh, who cares, stuff happens, fog of war, why bother with Insurance, when Uncle Sam pays a guaranteed amount, few questions asked... initial there, then there, please.

Pneumonia? gone, virtually... Covid, lots and lots... reimbursement for Pneumonia, vs Covid related, no contest, so which one do you think was 'assigned'? The one that pays the most...

Our local health department encouraged everyone to get a flu shot so we would not get hit with a double wammy of COVID + Flu. Trump had nothing to do with it.  But I suspect Joan is just trolling us.

Some people are like the 'slinky'. Not really good for much,
but they bring a smile to your face as they fall down stairs.

After all the nuts screaming for a couple of years about Hunter Biden‘s laptop, I think it’s absolutely fucking hilarious that Rudy’s laptop is the one confiscated by the Feds. And he is such a computer illiterate, I guaran-damn-tee-U he didn’t scrub that thing. And it doesn’t matter anyway, he’s left Easter eggs all over the World Wide Web and third party providers, and there is going to be so much shit going down on him, including disbarment and jail time. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. Should’ve stuck with just tucking his shirt in.

No sir, this is Rikers Island Federal Prison, but we do have a room for you.

Just heard they exicutes a search warrant on his home.  Not sure what for though.

This about sums up my response when I turned on CNN this afternoon.

I don’t think we need the world’s largest armed forces, the world’s largest military budget, or the world’s largest military-industrial complex. A lot of our problems and losses stem from that.
Above copied from another thread.

It’s almost certain had Trump been re-elected both Russia and China would have invaded a neighbor, Ukraine and Taiwan respectively.  I’m afraid it’s still going to happen and soon, especially China, but at least they won’t now do it with impunity.  If that buffoon Trump was still in office, he would dithered into inaction especially in the case of Russia.

So toe, I’m afraid I disagree.  Once the people of both China and Russia finally get sick of their authoritarian leaders and give them the old heave ho, maybe we can consider downsizing our military.  But until then, we still live in a very dangerous world.

Isn’t Friday August 13 the day the Q folks and the MyPillow guy said Trump would be reinstated as president?  If so, they’ve been quiet about that this week.  Maybe they rebaselined?

I'm not disagreeing with you, but the People's Republic of China was created on October 1, 1949, and China has remained a Communist country for 72 years (and counting). Waiting for the Chinese people to overthrow the Chinese government isn't the most advisable way to conduct geo-political relations.

If, as you predict, China invades Taiwan -- and China and most of the other nations in the world, including the U.S. and the U.N. -- do not consider Taiwan to be a separate, sovereign nation -- what would you have President Biden do? Strategically bomb sites in Taiwan or mainland China? Send ground troops in to the area? Fight a land war?

Meanwhile, it's not the 1050s any more, and the most "immanently dangerous" threats to U.S. sovereignty and the U.S.. population come from outside China and Russia, and from outside traditional military powers. We certainly learned that on 9/11. On top of that, most of the threats are not traditional military threat, including terrorism, chemical and biological weapons, and cyber attacks.

In that light, the size of the U.S. armed forces in terms of manpower is far less important than the modern innovations to fit these "new" types of battles.

I think Trump was waiting for something else to happen, so he could hit his compensator button and drop another 59, half million dollar, tomahawks on another empty airport. He would have just asked for permission from his boyfriend Putin first.

The only thing I can say Trump is truly good at is getting attention for himself.

He is not a good businessman, not a statesman, and certainly not a man of the people.  However, he knows how to spin, knows rhetoric, and knows exactly what to say and do to get attention.

He doesn't care if he is right or wrong.  He'll just say or do whatever keeps him at the focus of attention.  In short, he's a narcissist and as far as narcissists come, he is the best.

How did he get so much blue-collar buy-in?  He didn't make his money by working in the fields, sewers, factories, or any other by-the-bootstraps way.  Instead, he built an empire on the backs of such people.

He got the buy-in by saying exactly what they wanted to hear.  There are a lot of fears in certain industries and he knew EXACTLY how to exploit those fears.  Couple that with an internet subset who love to trade in conspiracy theories and you get the insane cluster-fuck that we had.

Granted, yes, there were tons of times when the media took one-liners out of context and painted him out to be even worse than he actually was, and yes, I can cite some specific examples if you need me to.  But the fact is, he was already bad because his only goal was to make himself look good.

I’m thinking this is exactly how the Republican Party sees him now, the all knowing seer they must bow to and add money.

Trump is possibly the worst thing to happen to the Republican Party in the modern era.  Sadly, they are so divided in their own ranks that they latch on to anyone who seems to have high charisma and some surface-level appearance of "leadership skills".  It's pathetic.

But, to be fair, while Biden isn't and never will be as bad as Trump, it is pretty sad that he was the best the Democratic Party could come up with.

I'm sick of having shit choices from both the major parties in our country, one being less shitty, but still, shit.

He was chosen because he was not viewed as extreme and well .. electible.  And the election showed that.  I personally favored Elizabeth Warren, but we can't always have what we want.

Both parties are not the same.  Bidne is showing this pushing for tax reform that will have the rich being taxed more, rather than shifting the tax burden to the middle class as the Republicans have focused on since the election of Ronald Reagan in his "supply side" frenzy.  Most of the richest persons in America pay no tax at all.  I'd like to see that change.

100% tax the everloving shit outta the rich.
The fact that bezoz can even retain hundreds of billions as an individual entity is so mind boggling that I find myself nodding my head with breainlet socialist talking points and memes, my favorite of which is 'if he gave a billion dollars to everyone he'd still have several billion left over' (a blatent and idiotic mathematical error, but funny none the less)

I think it was Patton Oswald who did a bit about reaching the milestone of billionaire where he said 'you get a congratulations and a plaque that says you won capitalism and you were disallowed from making any more money'

Conversely I think Trump while possibly bad in many respects was good for the world stage, I had no idea just how things worked untill I saw this video.

But he was a puppet of Israel
