The twisted reasoning for this that, back in the old days, some people would post hundreds of images a day in Pics & Vids, and people complained that it resulted in an “unfair“ post count. similarly,  in fun and games, there are a lot of counting games and letter games that result in a high number of posts. GRM did not feel that a one-word post was worthy of being added to the post count.

It’s always been this way. Best not to argue.

I've always agreed with this policy from the day it was put into place. I'd estimate that more than half of my current post count is from pics I posted before that policy was enacted.

I've also long believed that obsession with one's post count (or woo count) is silly. We aren't in high school anymore...

Ditto. I have over 7000 posts but only 2000-3000 ones worth reading that are not images or game responses (and I'm surprised it's that high).

Princess, would you like to see it light up and hum when I wave it about

I want to ask 2 general questions - one for males and one for females. Both related to sex. Where should they be posted?

Go to SEX TALK  https://www.kristensboard.com/forums/index.php?board=29.0

They are 'stickied' at the top.   I think topic 4 and 5 currently.

Ask a male a question. https://www.kristensboard.com/forums/index.php?topic=60782.0
Ask a female a question. https://www.kristensboard.com/forums/index.php?topic=60783.0

I noticed that after the "shutdown", when we got the board back, Non-Consensual Stories disappeared (at least from my access. Today I noticed a story is marked as having been moved to Non-Consensual Stories, but that doesn't seem to exist. Something I'm missing?

It’s always been this way. Best not to argue.

I don't have a problem with it, although to my way of thinking, a post is a post.

I can see why new members are confused, though.

Not long after I joined I saw a member with 34 posts and 330 woos and that confused me. I wondered about that for months before I learned about posts that don't get counted.

It does seem strange that all my prior posts are renumbered every time I post. My first post should still be number 1 instead of 1006 (well, 1007 after this post). It would be nice if you could go back and see what your 100th or 1000th post was, but that's just not possible the way it's set up.

GRM is the almighty.  Many believe he never actually existed just a 'man in the cloud'.  Then there are a handful of members that say he walked this forum with them.  Very similar to Jesus.  So would Kristen be God in this scenario?

I used to be confused also.  Then during a yoga session, I was doing downward dog.  I looked between my legs and my computer was behind me.  I was basically looking at my posts upside down. It all made sense then.  Try it.   One thing, if you immediately move into Child's Pose, your mind will be automatically sidetracked correlating KB and Child in the same thought and think how wrong it is.  Coming out of that pose you will have forgotten about the backward numbers posts.  So you'll be confused and wonder if you were supposed to do something.  It's sort of like waking up out of REM stage suddenly and not being able to remember how the dream was starting.  It's very unsettling sometimes.

It’s not a post count. Perhaps it should have been called “post points,” sort of like frequent flyer miles, they open up additional benefits for newbies who reach certain levels.  My post count is 2,697,  my actual number of posts is 5,943. It’s never made any sense to me. Just another KB anomaly.

Ha ha ha

Grm existed all right. I spent many years here when Grm was the almighty Administrator. Pornhubby and Watcher remember those days. He could be tough, he personally didn't like every story theme/genre but he never stopped anyone from writing what they wanted unless he had rules against something. He wasn't always the easiest guy [he'd say the same thing about me 🤣 ] but personally I wish he was still here now.

His legacy is what made KB what it is today and attracted the quality people that helped build this into the fun place this is. I'm not sure if he was still active when I joined, but his stamp was imbedded here. His ID kept popping up as I was getting familiar with the rules here.

I can't remember when he left, but he was in charge during the first 4-5 years I was here. I agree with msslave: He made KB what it is today, and his vision of what KB should be is the same today as it was 10-15 years ago.

I would describe him as tough but fair. He gave unswerving support to free speech, yet he recognized that free speech was a two-way street, and countering free speech with free speech was one of the board's primary highlights. He could be strong, almost brutal in his assertions and responses, but it was always in context.

There were two occasions when he severely took me to task on the board for something I posted, and on one of those occasions, he wasn't short of brutal in his responses. However, they were in 1408 threads, and completely in context. While I wholeheartedly disagreed with him. I firmly supported his right to say what he did.

He was also intelligent, insightful, and well read. His one-sentence responses in 1408 (and elsewhere) often made me think. And that's a very good thing.

Grm was here for seven years and left in June of 2014.

We had a friendly, but sometimes antagonistic, relationship. I called him goat or goaty, not because he was the greatest of all times, but because when he head butted you, you felt it.  He could also chew tin cans and shit nails.  Really indestructible.

His more endearing persona was that of  “Higgins” the aide-de-camp on Magnum P.I.

I miss the old goat. Wonder what he’d think of us now.

Pretty much have the same feelings about him as Pornhubby. We bumped heads a few times but he really helped direct me around how to be a fair mod
