I'd suggest setting up your online account at
SSA. You should be able to find out anything you need to know about your personal Social Security benefits. Periodically, I need the form for proof of income, which you can download and print. Or have a paper copy mailed.
Before you do that, you'd be wise to set yourself up with
login.gov. As the front of that web page says, "The public’s one account for government. Use one account and password for secure, private access to participating government agencies."
I know login.gov works for both SSA and Medicare. There's no early enrollment in Medicare, you can only apply once you turn 65, assuming that you don't have a disability that's covered.
If you signed up for direct deposit, they make all the deposits on Wednesdays. My wife gets hers on the third Wednesday each month, mine is deposited on the fourth Wednesday, just in time to pay bills. I don't know how they determine who gets paid in a given week, but that's the way it works. I don't think there's any way to change it once your week has been chosen.
