Monitor crapped out.  It had been on it's last leg for a while.  Spent the better part of the morning reconfiguring the command center until the new one arrives.

CAT OWNER FAIL!

My male cat has me trained to keep an eye on him, and when he heads into the bathroom I'm to jump up and put fresh water in his dish in there.  Today I missed him going in.

I was walking past the door and spied  him leaning over the toilet seat trying to figure out how to get to the water in that bowl.  I quick rushed in and ran fresh water in the "correct" bowl and he was happy.  Of course there were the usual cat mutterings under his breath about how hard it is to keep humans trained. :emot_laughing:

I've applied to be a beta tester for Google's soon to be released cat translator.

Middle of cold spell......Furnace died.....$5600.00 for new one.
However......Not until Monday.
So no heat until then.
Shopping spree for portable heaters.

Shopping the day before a winter storm is going to hit.  :roll: And so was everyone else.

I picked up snacks and drinks for the babies. Wifey #2 got a double dose of food stamps for some reason, so she sprung for some goodies too. We might locked in all weekend, or even longer because after the snow it's supposed to get brutally cold.

We're all set for the wrath of winter.  :roll:

Right now there's no wind, and it's actually a tad warm even though it's only over 30 degrees.

I took a job in Minneapolis for three years.  Besides being told I talk funny, and being asked where I played hockey as a boy, the other constant was the fucking weather.  You have about six relatively fabulous weeks out of the year.  The rest is hell.  It was -40° F with six feet of snow the day I arrived, and -40° F with six feet of snow the day I left.  Although, I would like another one of those Murray’s Butter Knife Steaks.

Cables on the garage door opener snapped so I can't park in the garage. Can't get anyone here to fix it until next month.

At least I won't need an ice-scraper, at least for the next two weeks, if the forecast is right. I've heard that actually happens once in a while... the forecast being right I mean.  :D
