My ex had the nerve to call me up and ask me to help her find a lawyer to get rid of the tennis instructor that she left me for eight years ago. Turns out that living with an underemployed semi-professional video gamer with no educational or career plans is not the heaven on earth she imagined it would be. I guess that big back hand of his only got him so far. 42 years old and still trying to decide what he wants to be when he grows up.

Karma always balances things out!

WRMD?  Was eating a cherry pastry I had made, and chomped down hard on a pit, and chipped a damn tooth. Back molar now missing a small chunk off of it. It didnt crack too deep because it doesnt hurt now. The actual biting down hurt my whole damn jaw, but my actual tooth feel ok. Just cant keep my tongue away from it.

Lost day. Slept late, for me. Thought I might get something done. Started morning routine with a check of my blood sugar. Next thing I knew I was waking up to see that it was nearly 11:00 AM.

Been doing this more and more... just drifting off in my chair in the middle of whatever I'm doing. Grrrrrr

Sh..! As if you didn't have enough on your plate.

I'm no doc, and there can be so many causes, but maybe you could ask them to check your tsh values next time you give a blood sample.

i'm most likely wrong, but it's easy to check.

Best wishes from the Viking family

Do you administer your own insulin? Or do you have a pump? My problem is I usually overestimate how much insulin I need, and then I get a hypoglycemic dip. Just be careful. I’ve woken up a few mornings knowing that my sugars were down around 60, and literally could not find the energy to get out of the bed and eat some carbs. Keep something on the nightstand. I hope tomorrow is a better day.

Maybe some OJ. My uncle has diabetes, and my aunt says when he gets like that he'll have a small glass here and there.

Love you Bob. You've been through enough, you really need a vacation from life :emot_kiss: :emot_kiss: :emot_kiss:

I work closely with a pharmacist to monitor my blood sugar. My levels run higher than normal due to various meds I'm taking. My A1C is a little over 7 which would be high for most people. She's happy with my results all things considered.

There's been a lot of fooling around withy pain meds tho'. That's where I'm going to have my medical team look into.

Love the concern and support I continue to get here. KB is a great place. :D

Decided the kitty needed a full cleaning of his litter box. Such is the lot of a cat servant. It involves taking out the old litter and removing the old liner, not just scooping it out, which is done daily.

I knew it would be hard but didn't realize how much my body has lost in strength even with the exercises I got in physical therapy.

Step one of my plan, remove as much of the old litter before taking out the liner. As getting on my knees as I did a few months ago is now out, I squatted down and started scooping. Getting as much out as I could, I went to straighten up. Legs said F**k you. My legs wouldn't come back up. The harder I tried the worse things got and slowly I started sinking to the floor. Realizing down was the only direction on the menu I just did my best not to go down to hard.

Managed a soft landing on my knees. I was helped by a low wall by the basement stairs, about 4 feet high. Wife wanted to know how she could help. As she's in worse shape I didn't know how she could do anything. I just stayed there on my knees clinging to the low wall totally discouraged.

After a short rest I decided to attempt to get one leg back under me. I started sliding my left leg forward and used my shoulders all I could. Like a slo-motion instant replay I  came up until one leg was back under me. I kept a death grip on the wall knowing I only had enough energy for one attempt and then got the other leg under me.

I had to inch along the wall and wife pushed the chair as close as she could until I could sit down. It left me not knowing what to do. Wife brought my cane after a rest and I made it to my chair in the living room. It was time now for my pain pills which wife fetched. She also made me lunch, so I guess there were ways she could help.

So now Neville was without a litter box until I could figure out how to do this with a bad leg. Ah-ha, I could slip a trash bag over the litter box as a temporary fix until I got some strength back in my leg. So after lunch that's what we did, with me sitting on a chair. Meanwhile, out comes Neville only to find his kitty potty wasn't available. However looking around he spotted a small pile of litter we'd swept up but hadn't picked up. He squatted, did his business and walked off. His good aim and having clumping litter made the last bit of litter easier to pickup. :D

Thanks Shiela. Yeah we certainly have had our share of challenges. But we always seem to get through them.

There's a sense of accomplishment when we make it out the other side a things seem to work out.

Take the kitty litter challenge. Neville now has a clean liner and all fresh kitty litter. I'm sure he'll be showing his appreciation any time now. Neville... Neville um kitty are you there. ( sigh.). Well that's a cat for you. Maybe when he wakes up.

Mixed bag today. I’ve been helping my son with a DUI charge. Tuesday at 4:30 in the afternoon, I get a mass email from the court that there will be no zoom hearings today, and everyone is expected to show up in court this morning at 9 AM. So I got up at four in the morning, drove to San Antonio, and had a day full of bullshit. First time at a mass docket call since 2018. I actually negotiated an incredible deal for him. But I was so tired, I could barely put 1 foot in front of the other. I got two hours sleep last night, and drove over 300 miles today. So here it is now, 10 PM, I haven’t had anything to eat today, and just about everything in my one horse town is already closed for the evening. We have a 24 hour Whataburger. But that sounds about as appealing as an enema.

So, over the past 6 months I've been having a little medical issue.  It started with me falling down the steps of my garage and hurting my self.  Led to some bones and osteoporosis questions, which led to other things.

Hopefully the operation I had mid FEBRUARY resolves all.  A month of healing ahead of me still.

Not going any more in depth than that.  Please don't ask about it, just know that I'll be fine. Just need the healing time.

Generalized tonic-clonic grand mal seizure. Not how I planned to start my day. This one really snuck on me.
