I haven't watched much with Man Utd this season. How is Onana comparing to De Gea? I'm not a huge fan of foreign managers bringing in players from their old league or club, so even though Onana was bought from Inter, the fact that he used to be at Ajax concerned me a little  ;D

Since Guardiola took over at Manchester City and imposed "playing it out from the back" in order to draw the opposition forward and then play through them.

He has the talent to do that. Most clubs should have the keeper kick the ball as far downfield,  preferably towards the lines, as they can, to give their defense a chance to move upfield.

As for United's current keeper, he seems to doing a decent job but he can only be as good as the backs in front of him. Never fails, the backs do a good job for a while then seem to go to sleep on defense.

It seemed Liverpool outplayed ManCity in yesterday's match in the rain but both ended up with only one point for the tie. The Spurs are hanging tough, with a 4 - 0 win over Villa.

After seeing Man U playing against Crystal Palace, can we agree it would be better to have Quasimodo in defense rather than Casimiro?

BERLIN (AP) — Spain won a record fourth European Championship title on Sunday after Mikel Oyarzabal's 86th-minute goal clinched a 2-1 victory over England, whose painful decades-long wait for a major trophy goes on.

58 years to be precise

Spain were the better team, no doubt.  But there was no need for us to be so negative the whole tournament (apart from two halves).

Princess, would you like to see it light up and hum when I wave it about

In the music area I spoke of the Kyoto Tachibana SHS band and a few videos of the band surfaced this week of the band playing at a soccer match. Japan is different from American schools in that graduation is in March and they don't take the entire summer off. Since Tachibana used to be a girl's school (before 2000) there are few boys in the band and the boys in the school gravitate towards sports. Another interesting thing is that the band was wearing burgundy, whereas, forever, they wear orange and yellow.
