I grew up in an arid climate, but I went to college in Southeast Texas.

Lamar University? You’ve mentioned Beaumont before. I have a passel of former-in-laws down there. Most of whom went to Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School and then Lamar.

Sam Houston State University

Dan Rather’s alma mater. I’ve driven through Huntsville quite a few times, but have only stopped to visit clients in the state pen.

I grew up in an arid climate, but I went to college in Southeast Texas. I got a nasty sinus infection because of the old and moldy AC unit in my dorm room. When I returned to the arid climate I was miserable because of my sinuses. Then I returned to southeast Texas with it's humidity and all is well. However, the past few days, with dry air, I am miserable again.

I can relate to that. When I was taking diving lessons in a swimming pool, and practising removing and replacing my mask, I got a nose-full of heavily cholorinated water and my sinuses were never the same again. Cold, dry weather is particularly bad.

Seems the wearing of shorts and tees is coming to an end. Big cold front, bringing strong winds, blew through the area this afternoon. Had to bundle up on our afternoon walk. Daylight getting shorter, leaves falling, weather getting colder - ugh. Just thankful we are not in an area where hurricanes occur.

Just a few days ago we hit another 80 degree day. Tonight a freeze warning with lows in the 20s. No such thing as easing into colder weather.

Heading to 95° today, then the cool front will blow through. Only 75° tomorrow.  Brrrrr… sweater weather.

Daily temps dropped 20-25 degrees in less than a week. Could have been sunbathing last week, and today it's 45°F.  Wind was brutal end of last week, and then the rain came in. I swear Saturday we experienced both spring and autumn.

I miss my summer days, but at least I've got my heated seats. Have I ever mentioned that I love my heated seats?

It was a record 99 degrees yesterday and expected to hit 99 again today. Cold front hits tomorrow and the temp on Thursday morning will be 49.

Record of 79 yesterday, beet the old record of 75 from back in 1901.

Today is rainy and gross. Probably not going to see too many trick or treaters out today.

Quite a bit if rain, and that wind was horrible last night. One if the people who live down my street had one if those huge singing jack skellington decorations, and it got blown over. Saw the it's legs were snapped.

Today it's supposed to be nice and sunny out.

Lows in the 60’s, highs in the 80’s, all week. Perfectly pleasant, but we really could use some rain.
