This morning on the radio, I heard the hosts talking about new words being entered into the Oxford English Dictionary.  One they thought was notable was "sausage party".  They said it's a party with mostly men.
Found this on O.E.D.'s site:
sausage party
NOUN

informal
An event or group in which the majority of participants are male.
‘ignore the RSVP list as it looks like a sausage party’

So now I'm wondering...what about those of us who only measure up to a small cocktail wiener?  I doubt I'll ever be invited to one of these parties, but if I was, will proof need to be required to get in?

(Oh God!  I can't believe I just typed this out loud!)

You're a goof.   hahaha

In the midwest, we've called a party with more guys than girls a sausagefest, for at least the last 25 years, maybe more.       I've never heard sausage party before.

Same in Northeast, it's always been sausagefest.

I guess if you're really small maybe you can go to a Breakfast Sausagefest!

You can borrow mine for a night, it'll get ya in the door.  I'm not using it right now, so SOMEONE ought to be enjoying it.  :-X

Yeah, I've always heard 'sausagefest' myself.

Far as I know, they don't check at the door... a 'sausagefest' happens accidentally 'cos not enough women show up.  That's a good time to hit the door and run down to your local cruising bar, instead.

Remember the Golden Rule: you do me, and I\'ll do you (paraphrased)

I use the term "sausage fest" quite a lot. Whenever I walk into a store or place that is full of men I will say to whoever is with me, "It's a sausage fest in here."
