You and I are digital hoarders Hilda. My son asked me why I have 40,000+ songs, photos, and videos on my phone. I explained that I am a member of the last generation who went to record stores on Saturdays to dig through the bins looking for rare vinyl. Or going to the used bookstore and walking in the aisles, seeking the perfect book. There is a joy in possessing and controlling that. It’s not that you actually look at it all the time, or even know that you have it. But there’s a certain comfort in realizing, when they drop the big one and we’re all sitting in a bunker, that you’ll still have it, and nobody can take it from you, until the battery runs out. LOL.
