Sex and Dinner, a sentence for both

My father wouldn't let the waiter/waitress leave the table when he'd have a steak delivered.   He'd always cut into it first to examine it. 

"It's a perfect shade of pink."

or

"It's bloody"  (when it wasn't cooked enough)

or

"There is not a single drop of juice in it."  (when it was overcooked)
