Ted Cruz somehow managed to pull out 85% of the Republican pre-vote.  Which is insane.  We got a special kinda stupid 'round here.

Of course, the liberals are split between 3 candidates that nobody's ever heard of, but Beto looks pretty good.  Too bad, he doesn't stand a snowball's chance in August.

Also, TY, Joan.  For talking about Congress in a mid-term, instead of 2020.

Democrats are focusing on taking back the House since many of the races are in blue or purple areas. So far, something like 68% of  the democrats who have won the primaries for the House are women. The Year of the Women!

I just have to question how anyone could not detest him, after all the exposure, and nasty things he said in the last Election.  I mean, how could die-hard Trump supportrs still get behind Cruz after their shitstorm fighting over the nomination?  85% of Texas Republicans.  Not just anyone, but the same big shiny buckle of the Bible Belt, that knows Cruz, and steadfastly supports Donald, despite all of his reprehensible behavior?  Are the frenemies now?  Honestly, what happened to the Grand ole Party to the point that their likes, and support flip-flops so rapidly?

Also, Beto 2018.  I'm happy to report that I'm seeing his signs all over town, and I can't even tell you what Cruz's look like, because nobody's flying them.

No.  I live here, literally in the "Heart of Texas."  They have tourist billboards that use that as a slogan.

Red, and white, not a drop of Blue.  Not in our lifetime.
