So, I've noticed lately I've been having to do captchas, and even more as of lately, lots of them.

But it's happening a lot, like every few min, sometimes taking over 5 min to get past one, read one thing, and another several min of doing the next.

I get them most when using Tor, but that's not the only time.(I block lots of things in my house as I have kids.. I also don't like ISP's knowing things)

The only captcha we have here is when you first register, none thereafter.  We only need to see *once* that you're a person and not a 'bot.  I haven't seen any on ASSTR, either.  The only place I get captchas regularly is when I'm downloading porn.  Yeah, I do that LOTS.  Grin

I'll always bow to Rope's superior knowledge here, but is it possible you've followed a link off-site and picked up a piece of malware elsewhere?

I'm going to https://www.kristensboard.com/ and get bitninja.io constantly. And oftehn after completion it redirects to https://www.kristensboard.com/verify.php bring up a 404 error IIRC.

(this is real reason I registered)

That might be your issue - KB isn't an "https" site, just "http".

Do you have the same problem without the "s"?

That's all on your end.  There's nothing here that redirects to ANYWHERE, and especially not something potentially toxic like a 'bitninja.io' URL.  Also, there's no verify.php file on our server, so again that's between you, your browser, and whatever crappy proxy server you're using.  Something is hijacking your web communication, either malware bolted into your browser, or the proxy server you're using is adding it's own 'spice'.  None of that stuff is here:  I personally guarantee it.

The proxy server I've beat the hell out of is the SECURE proxies here:
http://tools.rosinstrument.com/cgi-proxy.htm

Rosinstrument doesn't link to any toxic proxies as far as I've ever seen.  The SECURE ones (you have to check the HTTPS box) are all solid, last time I checked.

Happens to me too while using TOR, and only here and at RavishU(which I assume is co-hosted), with the captcha being Google's picture-based one. Though lately bitninja seems to have been replaced with another 'visitor anti-robot validation' page that doesn't refer to a missing page when one manages to get through it. Sometimes I just click on picture after picture after picture only to be told there are communication problems with the reCaptcha servers, and need to change exit node...

Speaking of which, that's often the solution to being blocked, opening the menu on the top right of TOR Browser and choosing 'new TOR circuit for this site'. Other proxy services might have their own way to quickly change IP.

I assumed you knew; But this is separate to the 403 page I get sometimes explaining how some proxies are blocked. It looks like your host implemented its own IP filtering that stacks with yours.

I don't mean to complain, necessary protection often comes at the cost of ease of access.
