What teams do you think will be in this years baseball World Series?

I'm going with the Cubs and Red Sox.

You're probably right but Houston is still lurking.

Boston.

I watched two baseball games in two days.  Rarity for me.   Houston vs Tigers.   Houston seemed to be on base every time I looked.  Mark says they are a hitting machine.

I still love VERLANDER, so I will be rooting for them over Boston.

Rooting for Cubs because of the Eagle that watches over Wrigley.

I should have clarified.   I'm rooting for the Cubs in the National division.   Just the national division.

But overall, I'm cheering on Houston and I will be wearing my Detroit Tigers jersey with Verlander on the back when he pitches for that Astros in the championship series.

And I hope they also win the division (they're only one game up on the Brewers as of this morning), to avoid having to play the one-game Wild Card Game of Death.

Yes, weekend series with the Cardinals. The Game of Death will be on Monday if needed.

It looks like it is "Wait until next year" for the Cubs. Their hitting disappeared.

According to ESPN, the Cubs finished the season with a team batting average of .258 which placed them first in the National League. Only two American League teams had a higher team batting average: Boston at .260 and Cleveland at .259.  Tampa Bay tied the Cubs at .258.

For the very short Cub's postseason, the team batting average was a paltry .140

I'm torn tonight.   Ricky Porcello pitching for the Boston Red Socks.   I like him.  And J.D. Martinez too.   Both ex Tigers.

But my true love, Jason Verlander, sits in the other dugout
