I have an HP Envy 6230 printer/copier/scanner and the sofware that comes with it allows me to save a document as a pdf. Seems an unusual (but useful) facility to build into a printer driver.

Our office is more or less paperless. So we scan all paper documents and save them on the server. 100,000’s of pages of correspondence, pleadings, medical records, exhibits, depositions. It would take a small warehouse to hold what we keep in a small closet sized area. Backups in a fireproof safe in remote location.

I should have said the printer driver has the option to save electronic documents as PDFs, not just scanned paper.

For the first time in over 10 years, I didn't check my Instagram feed yesterday. The app wouldn't let me log in unless I uploaded a copy of a government issued photo identification document that proved I was over the age of thirteen.   

That... is not going to happen. They may trust every single employee and trust the security of their data storage, but I don't.

Initially it was judged to "corrupt the King's subjects". Also banned in the USA in 1821.  The publication of Lady Chatterley's Lover and the more permissive 60s enabled its full uncensored publication 1970.

True, many times, whilst looking around for stuff, something unexpected always pops up.
Maybe, the reason is that overall, a vast majority of consumers are guys, straight guys at that, hence, solo guy stuff is really not in demand.

In a wider context that is one of my pet hates on this here interwebby thing.  The number of times I Google a product and lots of stores/sites pop up that don't stock that for which I have just searched.  It should be agains the law.

Online store search engines are designed to draw you in. The last thing they'll do is admit they don't have a product. And once they have your attention, they lead you away from the products you want to buy, and towards products they want to sell.

Porn sites do something similar, the only difference being that they want to lead you away from the free stuff to paid content.
