A lot of tossing and turning, but hardly any sleeping.

I'm sending you drowsy, relaxing vibes. I do hope the sandman pays you a visit very soon.

H.

Thank you Hilda! It was about 3 in the A of the M that I fell asleep for a good couple hours. The last time I saw on the clock was 2:52

Different night same thing. My brain won't leave me alone. I just keep replaying it in my head every time I close my eyes.

I mentioned how these anti-convulsants I take result in hyperactivity of the brain at night. Very fitful light sleep with a circular pattern of annoying dreams. Tonight they were set to “The Weight” by The Band. Finally, I woke up with a headache and decided just to stay awake awhile. See if I can’t get things to “simmer down.” I will be tired as shit at work though…

I don't think I could handle weight when I sleep..

I only use a light weight microfiber blanket even in our coldest Minnesota below zero nights.

Glad it works for you.

I loved having one.  I especially loved it in the winter, or just sitting watching TV in the winter.   Mine was 'kid'napped.  Meaning, my kid took it.  I miss it, but Dan doesn't, he hated it.   We have a big fluffy comforter and that is nice, along with being snuggled from behind by Dan.

Woke up again at 4:30, made another BR visit and back to bed. Nothing, I just stared at the ceiling.

Gave it up at 6:00. Got up and started a fresh pot of coffee.

Sorry to hear, B.

I was in bed at 10:30.  Fell to sleep.  Got up to pee.  Thinking it was 4 or 5.  Nope.  12:08.  Luckily fell back to sleep quickly.
Sleeping in the middle one's bed because Dan is still sick.  Sleeping pretty good for the most part.

I was up at 1 am. Started the mini crossword struggled and decided to try and go back to sleep. Half hour later I finished it. Stayed up for another half hour going through my sleep routine, but was overstimulated

I slept a little bit, but wide awake now.  However, I know we turn the clocks back an hour in only 45 minutes, so I am not concerned. LOL. Doing my NYT puzzles.

I wish they would get rid of that bloody time-change twice a year!  Why can't we be on standard time (or daylight time) all year long?

I went to bed at 2:45.
M and I were doing a puzzle, then I sat on the couch reading my Kindle. I looked at the clock and figured I better lay down. Got comfy on the couch and just laid there.  Last I looked at the clock it was 3:30.  Woke up at 6 to a dog barking somewhere nearby.  Sat up and looked out the window and there was a deer on the other side of the fence.   Laid back down and nothing.
Nap time during NFL games today.

Was in bed by 10:30 last and woke up at 4:0 to pee.  Usually I can go back to sleep right away for a couple more hours. Nope...not happening.

Laid there until.5:00 and threw in the towel and gave it up as a lost cause. My left hip is hurting some now that my neuralstimulator is out and I can get a permanent device imbedded on December 18th. That week of being pain free spoiled me.

Last three nights have been hell. Get a couple hours of sleep and wake up. End up falling asleep in my chair when I'm trying to watch TV or read the paper.

Last night I got 6 hours of sleep in my chair but my legs aren't working for s**t.
OK... Today's quota for whining is used up. :D

Rarely post here but last night I had trouble getting to sleep. Not something I have much experience with. I one of those head hits the pillow and I'm out.

In a talk yesterday with another of my nurses we decided to try cutting out an opiate I've been taking before bedtime. So last night I skipped it.

Went to bed and laid there for over an hour. I'm not used to that and I started to get a little achy from just laying there.

Got up and started a new audiobook. Listened for a hour and a half until I started yawning. Hit the bed again at 1:30 and went right out this time.

Had a good sleep until 7:30 this morning.

My nurse did say this could be a problem and if it persisted there's something called Melatonin that will help. For now I'll just see how things go. I think my body will soon get used to not having that opiate soon. It was a very small dose so for now I'll just see how things go.

I have the same experience when I stop drinking. Your body gets used to the sleep aid, and then does not know what to do when you lay down without it.
